I not only learned about the history and story of Edinburgh, but I learned about amazing contributions from Scotland to science, common phrases, and how it all impacts today. I also had the good fortune and luxury of being the only to sign up for the time of my tour, and they did not cancel my tour! Instead I had an unintentional private tour and my guide was wonderful enough to tailor some of the stories to what he learned about my interests along the way. I traveled alone and scheduled this tour for my first day to help me get a sense of the city right away, and my guide gave me a great walk through of it all. Strongly recommend for solo travelers on their first visit!

5.00A great to find out more than just the castle. Fabulous stories, well told. Three hours allows enough time to cover more ground - it was nice to get into new Edinburgh as well.
