Ella was a fabulous guide, weaving the history of Jewish immigration and stories of current life/culture with delicious food. Lots of food!! Almost all carbs and smoked meat so not for all diets. We had a gorgeous sunny day, which always helps. Thoroughly enjoyed this tour.

Come hungry! This was a very informative tour that mixed information on the history of Montreal's Jewish community with no waiting access to the best of the city's Jewish foods. The tour is put on by the Jewish Museum of Montreal and included food stops at a kosher bakery, both St. Viateur and Fairmount bagels, Wilensky's for a pressed sandwich, Chez Greenberg for a knisch, as well as a second bakery for chocolate babka and finished at Schwartz's for the requisite smoked meat sandwich and cherry soda. No waiting in line for bagels or at Schwartz's was a huge plus, and we also learned a lot about the Montreal Jewish community. You will also get your steps in! If you love traditional eastern European Jewish food and/or history, you are sure to enjoy this tour.

Megan was an excellent tour guide. She allowed time for questions, asked questions and gave great information about the businesses we visited on the tour.
