We visit the less touristy hoods around the Jean-Market on our food tour. From a single mom-no-pop shop we learn about our Latino community and sit down at a Salvadoran neighbourhood joint where locals go. We learn about the different communities that make up the area and pop into Little Italy for an iconic bakery when open.
The Jean-Talon market is the largest of its kind in the country. We try goat cheeses that are so farm to table they remind us of that scene from Portlandia. We visit a spice den, point out other great vendors, try some of the best charcuteries in the province as well as a few surprises like a forager and more depending on the season! You’ll want to go back to the market after the tour.
In Little Italy we explore the streets and area, sip third wave joe and learn about our progressive coffee scene. We head to a bean to bar award winning chocolate “factory” that will showcase some of the best stuff Montréal has to offer, period.

We are 3 Montrealers that decided to join this tour to try some new local vendors and restaurants. Jeff was a great guide and we all had a really fun afternoon exploring a part of the city we don't often go to. Highly recommend!

Three hours flew by! So lucky to have Jeff as our tour guide — he treated us to a total of 10 tastings! The biggest surprise was that half our group were actual Montrealers. What a fun and delicious way to experience this beautiful city. Thanks so much, Jeff - cheers!

The tour was epic. We have never really experienced anything like it and I wasn’t sure how our kids aged 13 and 10 would get on. But we all loved it! We got to try so many different foods and experience a neighbourhood we probably wouldn’t have seen otherwise. Amelie was fantastic and even the outing rain couldn’t take the shine off a great experience. HIGHLY recommend

Wonderful tour! I’m still recalling how delightful the whole experience was because our guide, Rod, was so informative, personable, and sensitive to everyone’s needs and the food we sampled was so delicious! I’m very happy I found this tour and experienced the diversity of the food options present in the city.

My husband is NOT a foodie and not your typical tourist, so I had to twist his arm to go with me and he loved the tour! This is not your bagels and smoked meat tour, this is about ethnic infusion in the area. Rod took us to lots of stops - the ones listed, plus a Latin place for pupusos, Columbian coffee and gelato. We had a great time - and cooperative weather only made it better.
