Borgarfjordur and Borgarnes town, founded in 9th century. Borgarnes was one the filming locations in the Hollywood film The secret life of Walter Mitty.

Deildartunguhver - thermal hot spring. Europe's most powerful hot spring provides 180l/sec of 100C hot water.

Hraunfossar - Lava waterfalls. Beautiful, clear cold springs of subterranean water seep through the lava and runs as waterfalls and rapids into the river Hvítá.

Reykholt is one of Iceland's historical sites. The author Snorri Sturluson lived here around 1206-1241.

Langjökull - The long-glacier is the second largest glacier in Iceland about 950km2 or around 367.000 square miles.

The Whale fjord tunnel 5770m. (18,930ft.) long and reaches a depth of 165m (541 ft.) below sea level opened in 1998

Reykholt

Reykholt is one of Iceland's historical sites. The author Snorri Sturluson lived here around 1206-1241. An ancient geothermal pool Snorralaug, named after Snorri and it is one of the few things preserved from Iceland's medieval period. Here he wrote some of the greatest Sagas of Iceland and Icelandair's - our saga's preserved our culture and give us information about the people that settled Iceland and the Viking way of living. Visit the museum is optional - entrance fee is not included.

Villi was absolutely incredible! We had no set agenda, and he planned a wonderful day for us. He thought of everything, including insuring that our dinner plans were secured. Puffin Travel is fabulous!!!!

We had a little hiccup with one of the other popular tour companies and could not get onto the Glacier super Jeep tour and decided to book this private tour instead with Puffin Tours.. best decision we ever made! Villa was an amazing tour guide and was so flexible! He went through all of our previous experiences and customized our entire tour to accommodate what we were looking to see. We ended up doing a Glacier hike anyway which was far more exhilarating than we ever imagined! We had a wonderful time and got to squeeze in a few waterfalls with the daylight we had remaining, it was awesome. Best trip ever! Villa and his wife are amazing people and so knowledgeable! You won’t be disappointed :)
