What a wonderful experience. Our tour guide, Donna did an amazing job sharing the history of the Otago area and vineyards. She was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the wines. We had a great bunch of folks on our tour and that always adds to the event. This is a wine tasting and it absolutely lived up to my expectations. We tried at least 20 different wines. Several from our group purchased bottles to drink while in NZ, we are buying ours through the wine collective.
Tasting of 20 different wines! But no insights of production of wines!

You get to tast 20 different wines from 4 wineries! It's very well orchestrated and fun to indulge in the wine tasting! However, there is no experience of how wine is actually made. No visits to the vineyards. It's just wine tasting....

Excellent wines, mostly pinot noir. Very scenic drive. Our guide John was very knowledgeable and very entertaining. Small group size worked out well.

Drive into the Gibston Valley was pretty with some stunning scenery. Kinross wines were excellent and the lunch at Carrick winery was innovative and tasty. Tour guide Al, was very knowledgeable.
