JOYÀ chronicles the adventures of a rebellious teenage girl who lands in a mystery jungle in her grandfather's fanciful world. The old biologist longs to pass on to his granddaughter his unrelenting search for the meaning of life while being surrounded by a weird group of half-human, half-animal masters influenced by ancient Mayan iconography. JOYÀ was inspired by the monarch butterfly's amazing migratory journey, in which life is handed down from one generation to the next to ensure the survival of the species.

At Cirque du Soleil JOYA, we offer 2 types of performances: We have double performance days (6:00 PM and 9:15 PM) and single performance days (8:00 PM). Make sure that on the day you choose for your experience, we have the performance you prefer. Read more about
Your tickets will be held at the theater box office for collection on the day of the performance. You will be required to present your voucher, along with photo ID in exchange for your tickets.
ID will be requested for alcohol consumption
Champagne included in food and beverage experiences can be exchanged for red wine, white wine, juice, water or soft drink, directly in the theater with your waiter.
Casual-formal dress code.
We have vegan and vegetarian dinner menu options, in case of food restrictions please notify the waiter at the beginning of your dinner.
The use of flash is not allowed when taking pictures for the safety of the artists and videos no longer than 1 minute.

JOYÀ, the first Cirque du Soleil resident show in Mexico, combines culinary and performing arts in an intimate theater setting to engage the audience's five senses. Drawing on Mexico's history and heritage, JOYÀ tells the story of an alchemist and his granddaughter embarking on a quest to uncover the secrets of life. If you selected seating with dinner, please note the dinner starts an hour before the show. Ticket Options: Show-Only, Includes a seat at a side table or a high stool seat. 3.00The circus itself is fantastic, nothing but good thing to say about the show itself. However they advise you to arrive early so you drink in their bar, seating doesn’t start until 15 minutes after your ticket time. The live music in there is nice but the atmosphere is so chaotic from the music and the bustle of people. There is not a lot of seating room, and staff expect you to fend for yourself and come by sporadically. If you don’t select the transport included package be prepared to pay out a hefty price for a taxi. There are no other transport services besides theirs and the cabs. Overall, I would not do this experience again, however I do believe the show itself is worth the ticket price. The rest of the experience could be improved.

4.00The overall experience was more than I can describe in words. It was a phenomenal experience. I would have them give a better description of the actual pickup spot as it was a little confusing. The food, show, costumes, environment, and staff did not disappoint. Paying to upgrade to the dinner is highly recommended.

5.00I saw the 5pm show with dinner & it was an experience from start to finish. The venue is beautiful, clean and organized! The dinner was spectacular! I had the Ribs and I loved it! Very delicious! My waiter was amazing as well ( I can’t remember his name but I gave him a nice lil tip)! The show was really good! Costumes were the best I’ve seen! Definitely recommend! Get your transportation ahead of time! I used uber going and it wasn’t expensive but returning there’s no uber available I’m assuming because of the location so we used a taxi from the parking lot and it was very over priced & the taxi driver decided on his own my change was his tip. So don’t make the same mistake as I did. But outside of that, highly recommended! Definitely coming back with the kids!

4.00Myself and my wife love cirque du soleil and have only seen them once before when they toured. It was a stunning venue and the staff very helpful. The show was great. The only downside which is out of their control is how expensive the taxi was to get back to the resort.
