It’s not hard to find good food in Florence, but if you really want to eat as the Florentines do, you need to come along with a local expert foodie to visit beloved wine bars, restaurants, and more. Pop in and out of beloved local establishments in two authentic Florence neighborhoods, Oltrarno and Santo Spirito. Enjoy regional wines and a traditional aperitivo with cheese, cold cuts, and bruschette.
After, you’ll head to a beloved local spot to learn how to make a Negroni—Florence’s most iconic cocktail. You’ll mix it up like a pro, then enjoy your handcrafted drink alongside an aperitivo of freshly baked schiacciata.
Visit an ancient wine window for another glass and learn the fascinating history behind them. Sit down at a trattoria for Tuscan pasta and Florentine steak, and then top it all off with artisan Italian gelato, of course! At the end of the evening before parting ways with your guide, they'll share their local tips on where to dine during the rest of your trip.

What a great experience learning about the food in Italy. We learned about the popular food items like Bistecca Alla Fiorentina and the smaller businesses that cater to the locals, as well as the importance of how to make the true gelato. Our guide was Awesome!!!!

It was delicious some manchego cheese with jelly and honey and other assortments. Second stop was for Prosecco, third stop was for More tiny bites and wine, cheese and meat and some really special pork fat, sliced really thin, next stop was for a big steak dinner steak and potatoes wonderful Florence style steak, last stop gelato. We have five stops with drinks and traditional test and dishes. We learned about the culture with a small group of individuals. Felt like I learned a lot about the culture through the food. Sometimes I go on food tours, and they talk about the history of the city and also show you some sites, this was not for that. It was mainly focused on the dining experience.

This was an excellent experience…one of the most fun things we did in Florence, and we did a lot! Much more food, actually, than we thought, and wine, too! Marco, our guide was wonderful. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful food tour in the Oltrarno neighbourhood, led by our guide Marco. He was personable, energetic and made an effort to ensure everyone on the tour was having a wonderful time. Each stop delivered delightful food and wine, it’s difficult to choose a favourite. One of the most memorable stops was the bruschetta at the first stop and the florentine steak at the last stop. One of the best experiences during our time in Italy! Highly recommend!!
