San Lorenzo
The Basilica di San Lorenzo (Basilica of St Lawrence) is one of the largest churches of Florence, situated at the centre of the city’s main market district, and the burial place of all the principal members of the Medici family from Cosimo il Vecchio to Cosimo III. It is one of several churches that claim to be the oldest in Florence, having been consecrated in 393 at which time it stood outside the city walls. The market it is located next to the church of San Lorenzo in the Medici neighborhood. The market is made up of two separate markets: the outdoor section of the market lines the surroundings streets of the large Mercato Centrale building, here you will find leather selling, clothing and many souvenirs. This outdoor market is a great addition to your sightseeing!!
Duomo
The Cathedral Square is located in the heart of the historic center of Florence. It is one of the most visited places in Europe and the world and in Florence, the most visited area of the city. The square contains the Florence Cathedral with the Cupola del Brunelleschi, the Giotto's Campanile, the Florence Baptistery, the Loggia del Bigallo, the Opera del Duomo Museum, and the Arcivescovile and Canonici's palace. The west zone of this square is called Piazza San Giovanni. We will see this amazing square tasting a delicious icecream!

5.00What I really enjoyed about this tour was that the guide told us a lot of interesting history about Florence. Often on Tours you just eat and then that’s it, but we got history of the city and of Italy and of the food and how it came to be! Highly recommended 😊

5.00Ilaria was a great guide, very friendly and bubbly and she told us facts about Florence and took us to less touristy food spots. It would be fun if The Wine in the Wall could be added to the walking tour.

5.00The guides are very knowledgeable and know great places to take you, plus recommend places to eat, see, and shop. We had so much fun with our guide. We went to the market and had fresh truffle pasta, olive oil and balsamic vinegar tastings, a Tuscan meal with delish local wine, and gelato that I can’t stop thinking about. It is also a great way to see parts of the city that are off the tourist path. Highly recommend.

5.00I would recommend this to anyone who have limited time in Florence but would like to get a feel for the food and history of the city. We enjoyed the tour with our 2 kids. Our guide Val was very knowledgeable and attentive to all our needs, questions and made sure we had a taste of all that was on offer to sample.
