A scattered travel tour with very little communications from a host of tour directors present at each spot. Each tour individual was polite and professional, but did not communicate well as to times of meet ups, who the tour participants were to meet at the meet up spot, and finally anyone other than the bus driver taking us back to the original pick up spot. Of all the tours I have taken with Viator on this trip through Europe, this was the most disorganized. Tour members were left to figure out what to do, where to go, and when to return. A return time was adjusted several times throughout the day which left us confused as to where to return and what time. Atop that time differences announced, each tour director made explicit comments stating "If you are not there when we are ready to leave, we will leave you hear." Issue is that there were 3 tour directors that announced various times throughout the tour.

Giverny was excellent! 5 stars here. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for Versailles. Our group got divided into 2. 1st group went in, and those of us in the 2nd group had to wait about an hour or more before we could get in. So much for the "skip the line" tickets. Apparently, the guide was not given the correct amount of tickets to allow us all in!!! We waited, and waited, and waited. We wasted over an hour standing outside the entrance. Needless to say, very frustrating experience. And once we did get inside, the guard realized, she did not have the headsets. Ridiculous. Once we got going she did a great job explaining everything. She was very knowledgeable! Nonetheless, I feel we should receive some reimbursement for hour + time we lost waiting. Prese consider. Thank you Nicole Padovan

This tour was amazing from start to finish! Giverny was a dream come true for our impressionist loving hearts. Versailles was also amazing and made all the more amazing by our tour guide, Severine! She made history come alive in every room of the palace and gave us all the information like the juiciest gossip we’ve ever heard. We were drawn in the entire time she was talking and it made the tour go by in the blink of an eye!

The experience was well organized overall considering the hand offs of several guides. There was enough time at each venue to enjoy the experience each presented. Would have appreciated knowing the return time in advance. Left Versailles at 6:30 for the 40 minute or so return to close to the same spot near the church. At Giverny appreciated advice for lunch options but there is also a lovely cafe at the Museum that has a separate entrance fee if you choose to tour. Lost some time by standing in line with folks needing a ticket instead of heading to the right for folks with tickets. Not sure if I missed that instruction or it wasn’t given. The guide took us to the lane and pointed to the left and right and said meet back at the bus at 12:30. In mid April the garden was aglow in tulips and blooming trees. If you want to see the water lilies go in July. A guided tour was given at Versailles with headphones which was nice. Outdoors you are on your own and even with 2 hours and more to explore it would be hard to see it all. The guide mentioned the Petit bus but it is just a shuttle from one end to the other and not a tour of the grounds. There are also golf carts but possibly a long wait to get one. But that would be the way to see it all. There are many “rooms” surrounded with 20 foot hedges, in addition to ponds and restaurants at the far end. The fountains go off intermittently.

We really enjoyed the day! It was long but worth the time and cost to have transportation and the experience at both locations. We loved both our tour guides, Helin and Ratri!
