This is worth the money to get. Guinness store was amazing, Dublin castle was really interesting, the hop on hop off bus was great, the best was the costal bus tour in Howth. Allen was our driver and tour guide very knowledgeable about Ireland history. Very beautiful place.

My experience with Go City Dublin has been very frustrating because of a misunderstanding that is largely due to unclear information from the Enterprise. I bought a 2-day pass for two people, convinced that it was 48 hours from its activation, as with other tourist passes. I planned everything accordingly: I activated the pass on a Thursday at 16:00, made a first visit (the only one possible, since at 17:00 everything closed), and hoped to be able to enjoy the rest of the attractions until Saturday at 15:59. However, to my surprise, the pass expired at midnight on Friday, just hours after the start of the second day. Result: I lost a full day, just when I had the most interesting visits organized. Communication on the web and app does not make it clear that “two days” does not mean “48 hours”, but simply until 0:00 on the second calendar day. This detail, badly explained, has caused me planning problems, economic loss and the feeling of being cheated. In short, a disappointing experience that has ruined part of my vacation. I wouldn’t recommend Go City Dublin until they clarify and communicate transparently how the validity of the pass actually works.

The Go City Explorer Pass was very easy to use during our recent trip to Dublin. We were able to show the pass and get into our activities quickly. We bought 5 experiences and were able to pick and choose on the fly for most of them. The only challenge we had was with the Guinness Storehouse. That is one you have to pre-book with Go City, and we found the times available were more limited than buying a ticket directly with Guinness. Because our schedule was very tight, we ended up buying that one separately. The Jameson Distillery tour was also a pre-book, but we had no trouble finding a suitable time with that one. I am sure Guinness was simply due to the huge popularity of the activity. I highly recommend Go City for helping you to see and explore a city at a savings!

Easy to use and saved us money. We bought two 7 attraction passes about three weeks before leaving, downloaded the Go City app, and flowed the instructions to activate the pass. We booked the Jameson Distillery tour right away, on the Jameson website using the code provided by Go City, it worked great. Also booked Guinness Storehouse, as soon as we could, which was 7 days before the visit. There were a limited number of times available, but it worked for us. Also, got 10% off at the 1837 Bistro by mentioning the pass. All the rest we just walked in and showed the pass to get in, no problems anywhere, this included Malahide Castle (guided tour and access to the gardens, and butterfly house), GPO Museum (self-guided), EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum (self-guided), Jeanie Johnston Tallship (Guided tour), and Dublin Castle (self-guided). Next time we travel, we will be checking to see if a pass is available in that city.

It was nice to save some money with the pass. In order to get a discount, though, we selected sites with entry fees over 14 euros. Some of the sites had an added discount in either the gift shop or at a nice restaurant (in the Guinness Storehouse). It was nice to have it tickets consolidated in one place. One caveat for Guinness: With the pass, you can only book one week in advance, so you might not get the time slot you want. We made a lunch reservation at the featured discounted restaurant, though, so that got us into the building, after which we were free to tour at our leisure. (And the restaurant was great!)

We bought the all you can see pass for 3 days and after proper planning saved almost 50-60% as advertised. Go City had very clear instructions on what to reserve, what to do for attractions which we had pre-read. We booked both the food & Drink walking tours and they were great! Would rate them top of the list. If you go with the all you can see pass, please do the following to maximize value 1. Pre-Plan and list out what you want to see and when. Pre-Book attractions via Go city site on days you want to go to those. 2. Buy a Public Transit Visitor card which is a great deal in Dublin so you can move around the city very efficiently. The Hop on Hop off is NOT a good idea except for the first day orientation for 2 hrs. Use Public transit to get to attractions. 3. For some attractions which are first come first serve like the coast trip from BigBus - drop by their office in the morning and prebook for that day to get a spot I recommend the Go City pass provided you are willing to do pre-planning

We had taken a pass 4 visits to Dublin. Disappointment upon arrival at Trinity College where our pass is not accepted. We had to pay for tickets to get in! So we used our Bus Hop and Off pass, Dublin Castle, St Patrick’s Cathedral and Guinness Store. In total of these 4 visits , we paid more than if we had taken them on site with the senior rate.

We got the explorer pass with Big Bus! We only made it to 5 of the 38 places in 2 days but it was so easy to use. We loved the BigBus too! Must do in Dublin, covers everything but Trinity!

I would not choose Go City again. It was not good value for money. It was not clear how the app worked when prebooking for venues. We prebooked for Jamiesons Distillery our third choice and when we got there were told that we had used all our choices and were asked to pay the entry fee. However, we prebooked Guinness storehouse after not getting into Jamiesons and the prebook went smoothly. I don't know whether it was Jamiesons prebook procedure that was the problem. We would have got better value choosing each place individually.

My friend and I bought 2 Dublin Explorer passes both could be used for 4 attractions. The first three attractions worked well but for no reason the last one (forth attraction) didn’t work so we missed Dublin Big Bus Coast tour. (Only once a day a 2pm). I tried to call the phone number on the application Go City but they didn’t sort it out, no one was able to do anything ! So we decided to do Wax Museum and the same thing happened, both passed didn’t work. I called Go City again and for 30 minutes we were trying to make the passes to work. In definitive the guy on the phone provided us two new passes that can only be used at the Wax Museum. BUT what a surprise when I checked my phone plan consumption, 60€ of extra charge !!! Indeed the two calls combined I spent 40 minutes on a surcharged number just because the passes didn’t work at the beginning ! In the end, avoid using Go City passes and buy directly tickets from the attractions. There is no money gain if the passes don’t work as they should and you will probably need to call them and pay much more unfortunately.
