It’s a long day with spaced stops—not all of which have restrooms but most do. Our guide David had such a thick Scottish accent that a lot of his banter was lost on my ears. He had lots of info to share and did a good job of sorting Hollywood fact from fiction. He did seem bored with his task of hauling tourists around. It felt a bit like an act he put on to show what a cool guy he is. I did get what I wanted out of the trip which was to be at Hadrian’s Wall, at an archaeological dig and see the countryside. The Vindalana tour guide was great and you could tell she loved her work.

Andy was a brilliant guide. It was so lovely to have someone engaging with everyone on the bus and making the trip feel unique. Andy was very knowledgeable about the area and the site. The trip was great, the bus was comfortable and the time spent on the road was broken into manageable chunks of time.
