One of the very best places to view a sunset on Maui is atop the 10,000 ft. summit of Haleakala and our sensational Sunset Tour is the perfect way to enjoy the view! This exhilarating tour begins with a guided vehicle tour of the Upcountry area as well as Haleakala National Park. Along the way, we will stop at Kula Bistro and pickup dinners to be enjoyed at the summit. Our Certified Interpretive Guides will share with our guests the unique Culture and History of Maui and specifically the Upcountry area during the tour. Once inside Haleakala National Park, our interpretive guides will explore subjects such as the distinct geology and ecology of the surrounding area. Other topics of discussion include Traditional Ocean Navigation and Hawaiian Mythology. Once the sun goes down, our guests will be treated to one of the best places on earth for viewing the nighttime sky.

The tour guide was friendly and entertaining. The food was good. Great sunset. Very windy and cold, a jacket with hood is recommended. Enjoyed the tour a lot.

Our tour guide Mike did an incredible job. While expertly navigating the road up the 10,000 foot mountain, Michael entertained us with his vast knowledge and warm sense of humor. We stopped at a wonderful bistro along the way. My lunch which was included in the price of the tour was the most delicious crabcake sandwich that I’ve ever had. I enjoyed eating it while gazing out at a fluffy layer of clouds and the sun glistening off the Pacific Ocean and the Maui coastline. Mike helped us get our cameras ready for a spectacular sunset. The highlight for me was the stargazing where I had to look closely to find the constellations in an amongst the thousands of stars.

Very disappointing we didn’t get to see the sunset or the stars. Michael was an awesome tour guide & tried very hard to make the best of it but weather did not permit food was great pricey excursion only to be disappointed

We had such a fun time learning about the history of Hawaii from our guide, dinner was DELICIOUS. We were unsure if we would get to see the sunset, because of clouds, but at the very last minute everything cleared up. We are used to the cold Midwest, so we brought sweaters and blankets, but could have used something heavier (and water resistant). The hot chocolate was so nice. And the sunset was something you just knew was special and not something you would get to see often. If you are reading this, DO THE TOUR!!!

Mike, the tour guide was an excellent guide. He was well-versed and had outstanding knowledge of the history . He was very professional helpful, and made the trip worthwhile. Dress in layers because as you reach the summit, it will be very cold and windy. Although the day we chose was cloudy, it did not ruin the trip. We managed to get beautiful photos of the sunset and the stars. The dinner was very good, fresh and tasty. It was bought at a local restaurant on the road up. You had options. We chose the chicken sandwich which was huge. The bread and vegetables were very fresh. It is definitely an excursion worth your time

Vendor canceled the tour by phone about 1 1/2 hours before departure time. An afternoon evening tour, so impossible to book anything else. Guy told me that we were the only folks signed up so financially not practice to run the tour. Bad form. Day in Hawaii WASTED. The vendor should have called in the AM.
Cancelled because of Wildfire but the tour company was very helpful and supportive

Unfortunately, could not do this trip because of the wildfire the national park was closed but the tour company was excellent in keeping us informed about the situation and flexible in even rescheduling it. We were not lucky enough to do this trip but will definitely do this in future
