Explore the geological wonder that is Harrison’s Cave. In the heart of Barbados, sits this historic cave discovered in the 18th century. Board their electric trams and travel underground discovering the natural stalactites and stalagmites in their quirky formations like The Village, The Great Hall and The Altar. Allow yourself to be dazzled by the naturally flowing streams and waterfalls and crystal clear pools as you navigate through the deep crystallized limestone cave.

As you take a leisurely stroll through the four acres of forest, admiring the view and the especially fresh air, you’ll get the chance to get up close and personal with the charming animals. From the famous Barbadian Green Monkey, to the deer, mara, tortoise and beautiful peacocks roaming the grounds, there’ll be no limit to friends you can make. As you continue along the winding brick path you may find yourself in the aviary, admiring the breathtaking parrots and macaws or in the Reptile house, where you can become close acquaintances with the snakes, if you so desire.

We had a nice tour of the island on our way to the wildlife reserve and the caves. On the way back we got to see Rhianna’s old house.

Absolutely amazing tour. Dane was the best. If you can book with him, you will be in for a real treat. Super knowledgeable, funny, and willing to let you take your time at each stop. We will be booking another trip with him.

We were really fortunate to be the only 2 and have our own tour with Ryan who was super nice. We enjoyed both the wildlife reserve and the cave tour. We were there for one of the two feedings of the monkeys and one even jumped up onto my shoulder to eat his snack! Loved it! The drive up we saw the west side of the island and the drive back the east. It was a great way to see beautiful Barbados.

We were excited to see the monkeys, and we confirmed before booking that the nature reserve would be open, considering it was New Years Day. We got there and it was closed. Since it was closed, we wanted to just go back to the ship, but the tour operator lied to us and told us that there was a gas leak and it would be open later. Of course this was a blatant lie, but unfortunately we believed him as he drove us around the island wasting our day until mid afternoon when (of course) he told us that the nature reserve would stay closed. We have zero trust in this company.

Unfortunately, when we were sold this excursion they did not take into account that it was January 1st and that the staff for the Critters Tour had the day off. Our driver did his best to offer a scenic driving tour in its place while we waited for our time slot for the Cave tour to begin. The cave tour was ok, but our main reason for booking this excursion was the critters.

This was a very disappointing tour. Firstly the driver never even introduced himself and gave us no information as driving almost 45 minutes to the first stop. When we got there, it was closed. They gave him some sort of ridiculous. Excuse about a gas leak, which even the driver didn’t believe. He then took us to an overlook, which was nothing special. We did finally get to the caves and they were spectacular. We never got to see the monkeys, which was a huge disappointment for our four year-old grandson and the reason for taking this tour. The driver also drove very erratically , and Jostleing all the passengers. He didn’t even give us a bottle of water, although the description of the tour said that that was included. It was disorganized, disappointing, and definitely not up to the level we expect from a via tour excursion.

We enjoyed our time at both locations. However, the only issue we had was waiting on the shuttle to go down to the caves. The directions...where to wait for the shuttle, for example were not clear which led to us missing our scheduled time slot. We were sent to a broken elevator, then finally made our way to the shuttle pickup to miss it by seconds. Then we were told we could walk down to the cave entrance. We didn't pay to walk!! Other than that, it was a great experience. BTW, because we were late getting back to the top, our guide missed her next appointment but she took it well. She should be compensated by the company for any wages she lost.

This was a great way to spend a day. We started with the wildlife reserve its a shame it was raining on the day however I saw many different animals including various birds, turtles. I enjoyed seeing the monkeys at feeding time- it's fascinating to see them up front. We later went to Harrisons cave which was really interesting travelling through the underground cave. I also visited the aviary, fed parrots and peacocks. Overall it was a pleasurable and interesting activity.

Friendly driver, comfortable van, pleasant drive, good narration. The animal refuge has difficult walking conditions, especially in rain - not much to see. Go straight to monkeys if possible. Cave was astounding; comfortable tram w/ photo stops. DON'T miss the cave.

A great tour to see the nature reserve and Harrison's caves. Communication good from Suntours via email and we were updated with pick up time 24hrs before. We had paid for a group tour but due to numbers were actually given a private tour at no extra cost. Driver was wonderful, took time to explain landmarks and history during journey and guided us to exactly where we needed to be at both locations. Waited for us patiently when we visited the attractions. Would highly recommend this and Suntours in general.
