  Jim was a fantastic host and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing the sights and sounds that Auckland has to offer. We were able to get some wonderful snapshots too.

  I highly recommend this tour for anyone tight on time and looking to visit some of this beautiful city's with an interesting, informative guide. There were several short city tours available on Viator - I'm very happy I chose this one and think you will be, too.

  We saw lots of the city and Ambrose, our guide was very knowledgeable and considerate. The tour was comfortable and enjoyable

  It was good to have a recorder to listen to while pulling up to the various stops. The driver was engaged but took alot of personal calls while on the trip.

  This tour was a good overview of Auckland. Our tour guide Jim was knowledgeable. There was some confusion over the hotel pickup point, but Jim gave us a call. There were some issues with getting to the Botanical Gardens due to a concert in the park so lots of roads were closed, but very much out of the hands of the tour group. They did make up for this extending the tour so we didn't miss out on anything. We saw some stunning scenery, this tour is recommended!

  I was not really impressed with the Auckland City Highlights tour. We saw some of the same things the day before on a Hop On Hop Off bus. It was a foggy, misty morning, so we couldn’t see some of the things he was pointing out. I know that’s not his fault, but it was disappointing. We seemed to be driving around a lot, but you have to do that in order to see more. The problem with that was the car backseat was very cramped for 3 adults. And the lady next to me took half the seat. The good things - our guide, Jim, was able to drive to the top of Mount Eden for an amazing view. We could never have walked up! We also received an email the day before confirming our tour and giving us the vehicle type, ID #, and guide’s name. Pick up was in front of our hotel, so that was very helpful to know what vehicle to look for. That is the first time any tour company did that. I do think the tour was over priced.

  Good half day experience for those who do not have a lot of time to spare. Some interesting places to see.

  Our driver Mike Lobo picked us up on time at our hotel. He was very professional, kind went out of his way to give us a great tour considering the uncomfortable position he faced because of his employer. We were expecting a 10 passenger van based on the description in the ad. The driver showed up in his personal compact Kia. He said because we were only two passengers, he took his own car. First of all, the difference in visibility between a van which sits up considerably higher and has large windows versus a compact car is not comparable. In addition, he was told after he picked us up, to pick up two more passengers. That would put five of us in a small compact car. The two young ladies who squeezed into the car with us were very nice and pleasant and ready for an adventure. The smallest person squeezed into the middle position, but had very little visibility out of either window. To her credit, she never complained. The driver contacted his company and asked to be given a larger car because he had extra people at this point. He was told there were none available. Both the girl on the other side of the backseat and I spent three hours trying to hold on to something to keep us as close to the window as possible so the girl in the middle had enough room. This made for a very uncomfortable ride. Mike Lobo, our driver, was very sweet. He was apologetic and did everything he could to give us the best possible tour. He was the saving grace and took us to many interesting places where we got out and walked and enjoyed the view. If I had to rate Mike, I would give him five stars. If I had to rate the company alone, I would give them zero stars. Therefore, this averaged out to about two stars. Cynthia D

  Enjoyable experience. Guide was incredible… Personable, knowledgeable, skilled. He provided enjoyable snacks, yum!

  Mike was very informative and knowledgeable and made us feel we now have a true friend in New Zealand. Wonderful experience. Would highly recommend.
