Griffintown is one of Montreal’s most historic neighborhoods – and one of its most haunted. The area has witnessed everything from dying Irish refugees during the Famine of 1847 to the Industrial Revolution to Montreal’s worst air disaster. Today, condominium towers are sprouting up in the Griff, but new residents are quickly learning that the district was once a rowdy shantytown – and it’s also ghost-ridden!
The Haunted Griffintown Ghost Walk visits mysterious ruins, a polluted canal, former burial grounds and creepy old buildings that are said to be haunted.
Led by a professional actor and storyteller, this ghost tour is sure to please ghost hunters, history buffs and Hallowe’en lovers with its creepy tales of the spirits and paranormal activity infesting and haunting Griffintown.

5.00Very interesting walk through the neighborhood, offering the opportunity to learn more about the history of Montreal via the ghost stories that still haunt the Griff. The stories are well documented, and our guide, Cara, told us with undisguised investment and pleasure, which made the tour very enjoyable and thrilling! The atmosphere of the neighborhood in the evening adds to the experience. Great activity idea for a different historical exploration of Montreal!

5.00The tour was amazing! Donovan knows all the details about Montreal and the way how he tells the stories is very interesting. He has a lot of passion for what he does and that energy and passion are contagious. I always like to learn about Montreal and I think the best way to know it, is with Haunted Montreal. I really recommend it.

5.00Yesterday we had a wonderful tour in Griffin town with a great tour guide. donavan is a knowledgeable tour guide, he explained to us the story of every corner of this part of town. The way he tells the stories you travel through time . I can say I was with the Irish people while they were building Griffintown in the 19 century. I look forward for the next tour with Haunted Montreal to discover the rest of Montreal with Donavan.

5.00A great bit of gruesome fun and local history! A walking tour but our family member using a manual wheelchair was also able to participate the whole way and enjoy some spooky storytelling by our awesome guide Jason.

5.00Recently, I had the chance to benefit from the talents of Donovan King as part of a book launch. Mr. King came to tell the terrible story of Mary Gallagher's ghost. He captivated the audience with his words, and made a great Impression with his performance. Guests greatly appreciated it. I highly recommend the services of Haunted Montreal (especially Mr. King's) for organizing private and public events.

5.00I went on the Griffintown Ghost Walking Tour with my husband and 16 year old son and we loved it. It was really interesting--we learned a lot of history that we didn't know, plus some great ghost stories. The only disappointment was that we didn't see any ghosts or floating orbs lol.

5.00My wife and I were in Montreal for a quick weekend a couple of days ago and we took this tour and we had a great time! I forgot our guide's name, unfortunately, but he was great, very informative and funny. What a fantastic way to see and experience a great part of the city you might otherwise miss. It was a cold rainy night, but it was a lot of fun and very informative and interesting! Definitely recommend it and I will probably come back with my son and friends! Thanks for a cool experience.!
