Pair a helicopter flight over the glaciers of Juneau Icefield with a dogsled ride, and you have the perfect Alaska experience. After flying over breathtaking scenery, land at a remote glacier camp for a ride of a lifetime: you’re pulled by Alaskan huskies across fields blanketed with snow, surrounded by towering mountains. Cruise ship passengers please note that the shuttle will pick up one hour before listed flight time.

Please ensure to select the correct passenger option when booking your tour. The space inside the aircraft and we want to guarantee everyone will be comfortable in the helicopter. Selecting the improper option or misreporting weight can cause tour delays and cancellations without refund.
No-bag policy. If you have medical needs that require a carry on, please note at time of booking. All bags brought to base will be stored in the tour office until you return from your flight
Dress warmly and in layers, and wear rubber-soled shoes such as a light hiking boot or athletic shoes. The tour company will provide overshoes and can supply raincoats as needed. Remember to bring your camera, film and binoculars!

WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS – Please remember that each passenger will be weighed at our facilities. Be sure accurate weights have been reported and proper passenger types have been selected for each passenger. Misreporting weights or selecting the wrong passenger type may cause tour delays and cancellations without refunds.
Failure to provide mandatory information will result in cancellation of bookings. You must provide individual weights and pick up location details.
Coastal Helicopters will try our best to accommodate parties/families in the same helicopter. However, we cannot guarantee seating as it is all based on helicopter weight and balance, as well as the other parties within the flight. This will be determined at the time of check in once everyone on the flight has weighed in. Should your family/party be in split into multiple helicopters, the landing will happen together. Please also note that lap children are NOT allowed, and each passenger must purchase a full fare ticket.

Land at a secluded camp on Herbert Glacier for your dogsled ride nestled among mountain peaks in a vast, ancient snowfield, you’ll feel like you’re the only group in the world on this glacier landing. You’ll be greeted by a team of Alaskan huskies at the camp for your dogsled ride and you’ll hop in the sled and let your dogs pull you and your family and friends along the magnificent snowfields. 5.00What an experience! Really great! We enjoyed everything! The helicopter ride over the glaciers. The ice and snow violence around you! The enthusiasm of the dogs! The friendliness of the drivers. The puppies. And the return flight. Really it costs a bit but the experience makes everything okay. If you can afford it I would definitely do it!

5.00Wow! We took a soaring ride in a helicopter and saw the Mendenhall glacier from the air. We then landed on the glacier itself. We got to meet the dogs and take a sleigh ride with them. The views were gorgeous. Everyone was so nice. Very safe operation

5.00This was an amazing experience! Having never flown on a helicopter, we were unsure what to expect. Coastal made the experience easy and comfortable from the pickup to the drop off. The pilot was extremely knowledgeable and skilled. The fly was super smooth and the views incredible! Once we got to dog camp, Lyssa our musher greeted us. She provided great information and guidance along the way. She was very helpful and also gave us a ton of information about each dog on her team. Definitely a top notch experience tgat will be hard to top with any other excursion in the future.

5.00I was on the fence about getting the excursion because of the price but man, I'm glad we did it. Such a once in a lifetime experience!!! I couldn't believe the sight we saw as we flew over the camp and that experience on the sled. Wow. Love it!!!

5.00Have wanted to do this tour for several years and it did not disappoint. We were lucky to have a beautiful sunny day. Our pilot was experienced and we had a very smooth ride, capturing beautiful views of the Juneau area and Mendenhall glacier as we flew to the dog camp. Once there we were directed to our musher, a young lady, Delta, who was very informative and gave us plenty of time to get to know the dogs and enjoy our ride. She even let us switch positions an extra time so that we could both be on the back of the sled twice. Once we got back to camp we got to hold a puppy and he was so sweet. We just had a phenomenal time and would do it again in a heartbeat.

5.00This was a phenomenal experience! The safety was great and very comforting especially taking a young child up to the glacier. We had the most amazing time doing the husky ride. Worth the $ and a brilliant experience. It was my daughters 1st time seeing snow and was so special. The dogs were brilliant and the dog guides really know which dogs are the right fit for petting from kids. All felt very safe and highly enjoyable. We had the full experience and it was truly one of the best things we have done on our travels.

5.00This was the highlight of our cruise! So worth the price! The helicopter ride was great, with beautiful views both out and back! Then, the best part, the dogs and the mushing!! Getting to ride on the dog sled was an awesome experience, and loving on the sweet dogs was my favorite part! Everyone was so friendly, humans and dogs! Kendra was our musher and she was wonderful! Super sweet and informative and you could tell how much she loved the dogs and how much they loved her! If you're going to Juneau, do yourself a favor and book this excursion with Coastal Helicopters!

5.00What a wonderful experience! The helicopter ride up to the glacier was amazing. You get to see such magnificent scenery. And the dogs! We were so surprised at how happy and playful they were. And ready to run! Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. My only wish was that you got to spend a bit more time on the dog sleds. But definitely worth it.
