Montmartre
Iconic district in the north of Paris, Montmartre is nicknamed the “Village”. Famous for the great number of artists mainly painters who lived in its steep cobble-stone streets, Montmartre is currently one of the most visited areas in the City of Lights. This is why we offer to show you the real local side of Montmartre taking through the little local streets.
Moulin Rouge
Our tour begins opposite a quintessential Parisian landmark: the Moulin Rouge windmill. We’ll start the climb up the hill, spotting the café where the film Amélie was shot and Van Gogh’s home as we go. Our first stop will be at one of Paris’ best bakers, winner of many prestigious prizes for its bread and pastries. Here we will taste one of France’s most famous patisserie: a deliciously buttery croissant. Is there any better way to start your morning in Paris?

This was a fabulous introduction to Montmartre! Cecilia was so well informed, and even when two others left before the starting time, she still generously went ahead with the tour for only me! It was so interesting and rich with history and details!

Benjamin was an excellent tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history and told it in a very engaging way. He answered our questions graciously and let us know when he didn't know the answer instead of just making something up. The walk was lovely.

Montmarte is a fascinating and beautiful neighborhood. It's one of my favorite parts of Paris so far. Cecilia had so much information to share in a fresh and interesting manner. We learned about the history of the neighborhood and how to tell if a croissant is extra good. She gave excellent advice on eating out.

Absolutely wonderful off-(and a little bit on)-the-beaten path tour! Great stories and history, tasty croissants, and excellent for adults and our tween-agers! Loved how Camila used visual aids (paintings and photos) throughout the tour. Incredible path through some lovely sights, and we all made it to the top and Sacre Coeur before we knew it!
