Atomic Bomb Dome
The Dome, once a graceful sight, was left in ruins by the heat rays and shock waves of the atomic bomb. Although there were calls for its demolition during the reconstruction of the city, the A-bomb Dome, which tells the story of the damage caused by the atomic bomb, was left behind as a legacy of humanity.
Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park
There is a cenotaph to comfort the spirits of the atomic bomb survivors at a place overlooking the A-bomb Dome.

Touring with Takashi was a great pleasure. He was helpful, knowledgeable and able to answer our questions. His personal connection to the event added to the day’s significance. It was a powerful experience for all of us.
