By joining a shopping tour like that, your time spent on attractions will be shortened, and you will be pressured to buy overpriced items. Normally the so called jade factory or tea ceremony is the tourist trap. You have to stay there an hour or more for those travel agents to get the commission from the factory stores. If you prefer to enjoy the tour thoroughly, you are suggested to choose a tour without any annoying shopping stops just like ours.
We offer free pick-up within the third ring road of the Beijing city. To ensure the morning pick-up going smoothly, we suggest you choose centrally located downtown hotels. If your hotel is beyond our free pick-up range, you may need to get to a meeting point or pay extra for the pick-up. Your travel consultant is ready to help.
Travelers will be picked up in the morning according to their hotel locations. The exact pick-up time will be confirmed the day before. Please be ready at the hotel lobby at least 5 minutes in advance, which is the maximum waiting time. For travelers who are late, please go to meet the group and pay for the taxi personally. No-show is non-refundable.
Please provide the correct passport information for booking the real-name entrance tickets. And also please make sure to carry the same identification for entry while traveling. Otherwise, entry might not be permitted. If you forgot your passport and need to get back to fetch it, please pay for the transport and later meet the group by yourself.
The itinerary schedule or sightseeing order may be adjusted according to the traffic on the tour day.
Departures are guaranteed with three persons.
Public Holidays: Please aware there will be large crowds and heavy traffic in Chinese public holidays like May Day from May 1st to 5th and National Day from Oct 1st to 7th. We will do the best to arrange the tour.

Jinshanling Great Wall
Your tour guide and professional driver will pick you up from your hotels at around 07:30 to 08:30 in the morning. The exact pick up time and guide information will be sent to you one day before. After around 2.5 hours, you will arrive at the foot of the Jinshanling Great Wall, and then please follow your guide to start the hike. You will tour for nearly 5 hours, including a hike of at least 3 hours on the wall. En route, you will enter from the Medial Gate or the main entrance. In half an hour, the square of Zhuanduokou Pass will come into your view. Head more east and you’ll reach the General Tower, Shalingkou Pass, the Xiaojinshan and Dajinshan Towers, Houchuankou Pass and Guaijiao Tower. Afterwards, you will continue east until the East Five-Window Tower, which is the highest point on the east line. Finally we’ll descend and in another half an hour exit from East Gate. After you get down from the wall, your guide will escort you back to the hotel.

5.00I took the private solo trip for 3 days, with Rocky my guide.. he was absolutely wonderful. He told about the history about the sites we visited, what I liked the best was the information given... it was like he was narrating a story. Which made the experience even better. Sure thank him for the beautiful photos too. Thank you so much to him and strongly recommend him.

5.00The trip was very well organised from start to finish. It was a very beautiful part of the wall and it was a perfect length and level of difficulty for us. Our tour guide Linda (Travel China Guide) was very helpful and gave us options along the way on how much further we wanted to walk. She was lovely and also told us a lot of interesting historical facts (and her English is excellent.) The hotel pick up and drop off made the trip easy and very comfortable. I had a perfect day, I’m so happy we picked this tour!

5.00Rocky took us through the Forbidden City and a drive to the Great Wall at Mutianyu. It was absolutely incredible! He was a great guide and took excellent pictures to share with us. The Great Wall experience had a cable car to go up and then a toboggan ride back to the bottom! It was a fun way to see one of the world wonders and not as crowded as Badaling. Highly recommend. Ride was clean and easy also!

5.00Magnificent and amazing hike from Simatai West to Jinshanling. I'm so glad that we booked a day tour through TravelChinaGuide. Our tour guide, Barry, was friendly, knowledgeable, and well spoken English. Barry called us a night before the tour; he showed up on time in the morning, and explained the history of the Great Wall through the entire trip. The driver was also professional and safe driver. They are wonderful guide service.

5.00Nothing short of amazing! Kevin was a real gentleman, very well spoken English, informative and knowledgeable. Kevin took us through nine towers and was happy to cover many more had we wanted to do so. I would highly recommend this tour and guide if you are considering the Great Wall. Well worth the cost and definitely a top highlight of our China trip, a must see and do for all.
