ITINERARY: 08:00 a.m.: Pick-up from meeting point: exit C of subway station Zhang Zi Zhong Lu of Line 5, Dongcheng District, Beijing. 10:00-10:30: arrive at Jinshanling. 10:30-14:00: enjoy your time on the Great Wall. 16:30-17:00: return to the city of Beijing (hotel drop-off). NOTE: The driver will explain how to walk the where to meet again. Not need to worry about being lost. Main gate entrance ticket and necessary shuttle bus ticket is included. You'll have 3-4 hours to hike on the Great Wall of Jinshanling. This section is one of the most beautiful sections and also the quietest one among the all. Hiking level is between moderate and strenuous. Please consider and decide carefully if you're not in good physical condition or over 65 years old. PLEASE TAKE: 1. Food & drink for lunch; 2. Your passport; 3. Necessary sunscreen, sun glasses, etc. 4. Wear comfortable shoes for walking.

Seriously difficult walk for anyone over 50 or not very fit. This is advertised as “ steep in places”. No. It is seriously arduous, step tread is deep, inclines and declines are seriously steep and often no side walls so there is much potential for injury unless you are under 30 and fit and not afraid of heights. Be warned. This trip should have been better advertised as challenging. I took the cable car up to shorten the total distance and still was almost not able to complete the walk without help from a very supportive group of walking mates.

It's an intense hike, lots of steep slopes and steps, not for the faint of heart, but it was amazing and beautiful!! This bit of the wall is less full of people. The trip there and back was a well organised, smooth, pleasant car ride, the driver was very nice. Super recommend! Thanks Jacky.

I loved this section of the wall! The hike is not easy, but its so worth it. The drive out is also beautiful and a great way to see places outside the city of Beijing. The tour was prompt and did a great job with our time. Absolutely do this day tour if you have the time!
