Machu Picchu is the Inca city is one of Peru’s most precious treasures. It was built in the mid-fifteenth century and is believed to have been one of the residences of the ninth Inca of Tahuantinsuyo, Pachacutec, although it also contains the remains of a sanctuary. Its name means old mountain, and alludes to the place where it is located, about 2453 meters above sea level, in a rocky premonitory between Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu. It is frequent that during the ascent travelers feel altitude sickness.

At the time, you will be picked up from your hotel, to be go to the train station of Ollantaytambo. We will have a 2 hour train ride from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu Pueblo. At arrived, according to the indications of our guide to be visit to Machu Picchu we will approach the bus station that will transfer us, by a zigzagging road, for 40 minutes to reach the wonder of the world “The Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu” Upon arrival at the citadel of MACHU PICCHU we will begin our guided excursion approximately for more than two hours. Then you will have free time, and then return to the village for a walk around the citadel and take your meals in one of the restaurants in the town of Machu Picchu Pueblo, taking into account the departure time of our train from Machu Picchu station where we will be present 30 minutes before the departure of the train. Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo our transfer to Cusco

5.00Beautiful experience visiting this ancient city. We were followed by the pick up at the hotel early in the morning until the return in the evening. They gave us precise instructions and sent all the tickets 2 days before. You have to get up early but if you want to do everything in the day from Cusco it is the only way. Recommended.

5.00We booked through Viator and have made multiple tour booking through them so we trusted the platform even if we weren’t sure about paying such a large amount of money to a tour group we had never used before. We travelled to the other side of the world and hadn’t heard from them until the day before the tour. All our worries were quickly put at ease when suddenly my WhatsApp lit up with copies of all of our tickets and very clear instructions on where to meet them and the plan for the day. The company were so professional and held our hand through the process. We were carefully handed over from the hotel shuttle, to the bus, to the train and finally to our wonderful Machu Picchu guide, Richard, before reversing the order and traveling back again. Many times through-out the 16 hour day, my husband and I commented that this experience would be extremely difficult without the help of our amazing tour team. We counted over 10 people along the way ensuring our safety and our experience were second to none. From small details like booking a seating configuration on the train so we all sat together to large details, like perfectly timed entry tickets to the citadel and the trains, we were well looked after every step of the way. The day was absolutely perfect and well worth the 4am start! Thanks for the memories!

5.00The trip was well organized, thanks to Aremika Travel Expeditions. We were a large group, but they were able to accommodate all of us. Machu Picchu was a memorable trip. Hamilton, our guide, was great.
