Visit the scenic island of Miyajima and explore its rich cultural heritage with a friendly local guide. Begin at the iconic Itsukushima Shrine, famous for its floating torii gate, and learn about its history and deep cultural significance to Japan.
Continue to Daishoin Temple and stroll through Momijidani Park while discovering important landmarks such as the five-story pagoda and Senjokaku Hall. Along the way, your guide explains the role of Buddhism and the spiritual importance of Miyajima.
End the tour by tasting local specialties, including fresh oysters and fried momiji dumplings, along with other sweet and savory treats.

Miyajima
Start Miyajima Walking Tour After gathering, we will board a ferry to Miyajima. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Seto Inland Sea and the iconic Otorii, Miyajima's symbol, during the boat ride. Upon reaching Miyajima, friendly deer will welcome you. We'll stroll along the coast to the Otorii Gate and then proceed to Itsukushima Shrine.

5.00I was in Miyajima with my husband and friends on January 2, 2026 and our guide, Rio, accompanied us. Rio was immediately very friendly and helpful and tried to make us live the best experience possible! She recommended the boat tour to see the red torii up close in front of the temple, helped us collect the Goshuin, told us many curiosities about the island and its history and was kind enough to stop with us to chat and share the return trip beyond the scheduled end of the visit. She was also very patient with me who often stopped to take pictures! To make everything even more magical was the beautiful snowfall that surprised us in the afternoon. The meal included was very satisfying! Very positive experience! ☺️👍

5.00My son and I had a fantastic half day walking tour with Hika at Miyajima. Hika is very knowledgeable and generously shared his knowledge and experience of Japanese culture. 5.00Really excellent experience! I was extremely satisfied with the quality of the service received. The staff was immediately very professional, kind and attentive to my every single need. It is rare to find such a perfect combination of efficiency and courtesy. I highly recommend everyone to try this reality: the waiting times are minimal and the attention to detail is really impeccable. I will definitely be back very soon!

4.00Suji was our guide and was very personable and knowledgeable. Conversations were natural, and questions about the local history and culture were answered honestly. The route we took was very scenic, and all the food along the way was excellent. Definitely recommend this trip for those wanting to learn more about the local culture in Miyajima.
