Get close and personal with Sicily’s most famous volcano on this six-hour, small-group tour. Set off from Taormina — hotel pickups and drop-offs in the vicinity are included upon request — and arrive at Mount Etna, where you’ll spend the day walking through craters, exploring a lava cave, and learning about the volcano’s past eruptions at max. 2000 meters of altitude. Afterwards, you will be provided with a snack, complemented by wine, a little dessert and a sweet wine taste.

5.00Booked last second on a weekend spent in Taormina and co. Weather forecast not exciting. Claudio comes to pick up at the hotel, the tour begins.... which does not end when we return from where we started! In fact, this experience left us with a desire to deepen, come back and dedicate more time, better time, to taste this land, its people, the beauty that surprises you in a thousand small things up to the most striking. The tour was perfect, we were provided with hiking shoes and extra down jacket, chalet stop with excellent tasting, Claudio the plus of the experience (empathetic, precise, informed and also very understanding of the different needs of the group, proudly Sicilian) Highly recommended, we did the Easy route but the operator offers even more challenging alternatives. Very honest price.

5.00Tony our guide was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna on the mountain and shared a lot of information about the volcano. The lunch at the winery was lovely as was the wine. The boots and jackets they lent us fitted perfectly and were certainly needed. All in all Tony helped make it an exhilarating once in a lifetime experience.

5.00We took the half day tour with Tony, and had a wonderful experience. He was informative, lively, and amusing. We learned botany, history, geology and vulcanology, and he was an amazing driver. Trip was on time and we always felt safe. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an intro to Etna. We only wish we had more time to do the full day trip!

5.00Tony was a wealth of information, both historical and about volcanoes and the environment of Mt Etna. He kept things lively and interesting. He had a great sense of humor. I would highly recommend taking a tour with Tony.

5.00We had a wonderful day out on Etna with Roberto. ( Roberto #1). He was knowledgeable, entertaining, engaging and read our mixed crowd well. The walk on the craters/volcano was quite easy and Roberto's stories and educational conversations were a pleasure. Lunch at the winery was simple and delicious. A great day trip for anyone visiting.

5.00Our guide Saro was very knowledgeable and funny. The hiking part is not very difficult. The tour goes a little more than halfway up the summit but there are multiple craters throughout the mountain and we could stand at the edge of them. Also the views were beautiful. If you don’t have your own hiking boots, borrow theirs.
