  I can’t stop talking about my trip to Mutianyu Great Wall with Mubus—It was pure magic! Meeting at Dongzhimen Subway Station Exit B was so easy, even for someone who’s new to Beijing. I got there a little early, and soon I saw Jily waving with a big smile—she’s the sweetest guide ever! The 1.5-hour bus ride flew by because Jily told us fun little stories about the Great Wall and even taught us some simple Chinese words for “hello” and “beautiful.” The bus was comfy too, with soft seats that made the ride feel like a cozy car trip with friends. When we arrived at Mutianyu, my eyes got so big—I’d never seen anything so amazing! The Great Wall twisted up the mountains like a giant, friendly dragon, and the green trees around it made everything look like a storybook picture. Jily gave us clear directions about where to go and reminded us to stay safe, which made me feel totally relaxed. I spent 5 hours climbing up and down the steps, taking tons of photos, and even running around the wide parts of the wall. It was so much fun to explore at my own pace—no rush, just enjoying every minute of the fresh air and incredible views.

  Had an amazing day. Mike kept us entertained and kept a watchful eye on us during the day. The tour was well organised and excellent value for money. Maybe could have done with a bit more time, but I’m not sure my legs would have taken it anyway :-)

  We had Mr Mike as our guide for the journey. He was very engaging and forthcoming with useful information for us, and was clear in his instructions for the visit to Mutianyu, and smoothly facilitated our journey before, during, and after the trip. The Mutianyu climb itself was split into two sections: the east side (more historic, takes you to gates 6 to 1) and the west side (more scenic, takes you to gates 14 to 20). The east side is significantly more challenging but shorter. The west is easier (except the uphill portion from gate 19 to 20) but it is more crowded. If you are in shape, this will be doable in 4 to 5 hours total. Otherwise, as recommended by our very experienced guide Mr Mike, best to take the west side as you would be rewarded with much better views of the mountains. The buffet lunch also has vegetarian options. It was a welcome sight after the hike.

  Well organized bus tour to get to the wall and back. Mike and Kevin were funny and great bus tour companions. They explained everything we needed to know for when we got to the great wall sections. While on the bus, we were asked which portion of the wall we would climb (A or B or Both). The cost was calculated to include the ski lift, gondola, and toboggan. You can pay either with cash or alipay/wepay on the bus. Note that all tickets are tied to your passport so make sure you keep it with you at all times. I opted for the buffet lunch afterwards. It was well worth it. A very large variety of food items and drinks.

  the trip was seamless. bus ride was 1.5hrs one way and bus was comfortable enough for us to sleep on both ways. Amelia shares some information about Beijing & Great Wall on our way there and she’s really organized. She also help with tickets for the cable car/chairlift. Mutianyu is a great option to explore Great Wall even it’s steeper, it’s not as crowded as Badaling.

  The bus was very clean, with comfortable seats, making the journey to the Great Wall enjoyable . Lunch was a buffet , with plenty of choices , different kinds of meats, vegetables,and fruits that gave us the energy we needed for the hiking. Guide John was the highlight of the tour: funny, approachable, and full of fascinating Great Wall history. He tailored his commentary to the group, using humor to make complex historical facts easy to understand and remember. He shared anecdotes about the wall’s construction, its role in protecting ancient China, and even fun trivia that sparked interesting conversations among fellow travelers. All the staff at Mubus were wonderful—warm, friendly, and always ready to help. Guide Tony stood out especially; he was so kind and approachable, patiently answering all our travel-related questions. We got a lot of great help from him throughout the trip, and we’re truly grateful for everything he did.

  Jily is the best tour guide I ever met. She was funny and super helpful. The whole great wall tour become so amazing with her instructions and help. Highly recommend her and Thanks Jily for this amazing tour. The Buffer was so good and the company provides us a good place go relax and sit. Food was also amazing because they provide so many amazing dishes to enjoy after the tour. Highly recommend this tour if someone wants to do a one day great wall tour because they cover everything from guiding, instruction and hospitality.

  guide, Jily, contacted me the day before the trip to confirm the meeting details. On the bus, she gave us fantastic advice on how to explore the Wall in the most relaxing and efficient way, ensuring we saw all the highlights. The Mutianyu section is perfect. The middle parts are gentle, ideal for taking photos and admiring the views, while the steeper sections at the end . After the hike, returning to the "Mubus Family " for complimentary hot tea and snacks was a wonderfully thoughtful touch. This entire trip was absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend it! Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

  The bus was very so the 90-minute ride to the Great Wall didn’t feel boring at all. The weather for hiking was perfect: late autumn season, mild with a little breeze, not too hot to sweat buckets or too cold to shake, so we could climb for hours without getting tired. Guide John was totally the highlight! He’s hilarious, knows so much stuff, and was really into sharing stories about the Great Wall. He told us all about old battles, what emperors ordered back then, and how clever the workers were who built this amazing place. He’s great at mixing jokes with cool history facts, so everyone stayed interested whether we were climbing steep parts or stopping to take in the awesome mountain views. All in all, this tour was way better than I expected!
