Mutianyu Great Wall
Your tour guide and driver will pick you up from your downtown hotel. First,you will visit the Mutianyu Great Wall first (1.5 hour from downtown Beijing). This section of the Wall is fully restored with spectacular view and beautiful surrounding. You will have your own option to choose taking a cable car or chair lift up to the wall, spend few hours hiking on the Wall. Taking a toboggan ride back down is exciting and a lot of fun.
Summer Palace (Yiheyuan)
After a delicious meal at Chinese restaurant, head to the Summer Palace, a well-preserved royal garden in China. It's nice to stroll around ancient pavilions, mansions, temples, bridges and huge lake. Much-loved summer retreat of the Imperial families, the lovely landscaped gardens, halls, pavilions and corridors are set around the lake and rivers in natural harmony. Between April to October, you can enjoy a Dragon Boat ride there if you like. After you tour is finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

5.00We had a great time with Kelly as our guide. This trip visits two UNESCO World Heritage sites. Our trip started with a pickup from our hotel in a comfortable sedan which took us to the Great Wall. Once there we elected to take a cable-lift up where we had ample time to explore with our guide and got some great pictures before a sled ride down. We had a great lunch at Xian Lao Man, which is a chain known for its dumplings. Afterwards, we drove to the Summer Palace, which was just phenomenal, before being dropped off at our hotel. I would highly recommend this tour.

5.00My tour started off rocky but it finished good. I booked my trip and called the night before to confirm the tour. However, the company said that it was canceled due to the limit amount of people. The person on the other end said he will rebook me for another tour but instead decided to give me a private tour with a private driver. I was extremely relieve, admire his customer service and his ability to go above and beyond for me. The tour guide, Lotus, did a wonderful job with my private tour and she was very informed on the history of both the Great Wall and Summer Palace. He was a Beijing resident and spoke perfect English. Great job!

2.00The tour was confirmed, but because they didn't fill the spots for the small group tour, we were not given a guide and the entrance fees were not covered. We were told the day before the tour about the change, making any chance of scheduling an alternate tour impossible. The driver we had was nice.
