  You cannot take photos of the live kiwis. But it was lovely to see them. There is video footage of them as you are taken through the tour that you can copy

• Hatchery is great but Viator could add more information about the Agrodome

  The hatchery is a great place to learn about kiwis and actually see them. I just wish Viator had given more information about the Agrodome as we could have spent several more hours there, but we had booked another tour right after the hatchery. It would have been nice to know about this.

  Very easy to do and a great guide. Got to see a 2 week old kiwi and a Kiwi egg. Saw 3 adult kiwis I absolutely loved the experience

  So educational and interesting to learn all about the kiwi hatchery process and research, we loved our visit. We were so fortunate to see baby kiwis!

  An informative, enjoyable and rewarding way of seeing Kiwi. Nearly an hour of relevant information and viewing of Kiwi from egg, 3 hours old and to adulthood. You need to keep your eyes peeled for the signage on arrival as it’s small compared to the sign for the farm and you wonder if you’re in the right place. Although promised 10-minutes in the Kiwi darkened viewing area, we were rushed through after 5 minutes by our guide ‘Harley’ (with a too ‘cool for school’ manner that took a little off the shine from an excellent tour). We were very pleased to see Kiwi multiple times and that 100% of the fee goes to continue to support this key bit of conservation.
