3.00Tour guide was ok but not worth the hour. Better off just entering the cathedral. It was too long to listen and would rather just go into the cathedral for free.

5.00Notre Dame does not require a ticket to enter. We were lucky that we didn’t know this because we booked an early morning 8:30sm tour which got us in before the crowds! The guide took us around the outside and showed us historic points of interest. We did not have to wait in a queue, but by the time we exited, the entrance line was very long. Our guide from the previous night at the Eiffel Tower stated Notre Dame was the most visited site in Paris. I would have been more interested in explanations of the external carvings of the cathedral such as who is the decapitated man holding his own head, or why are certain men wearing shoes, and why are they standing on a pedestal or a turtle or whatever other weirdness is going on. In my opinion, the exterior of Notre Dame is more interesting than the interior.
