We had a good time with Miko who took us to a Peking duck restaurant, a hot pot place and a rice wine place as well as Hutongs in Dongsi area. He's a friendly chap who speaks really good English and runs a fun tour. If you are short of time in Beijing to explore food on your own this tour is well recommended.

Kevin is not only an entertaining host, but also gives a lot of other information that will help to understand the food and the people of Beijing even more. Picking up at the hotel with attentive driver Joe was on time. We went to several restaurants. Kevin always asked me what food I would be interested in. But I always followed his recommendations. That was good, because without exception everything was very delicious and varied.

We had the pleasure of taking a food tour in old Beijing with Miko as our guide, and it was an exceptional experience. Miko was friendly, courteous, and incredibly helpful throughout the tour. His knowledge of the local cuisine and culture was an added bonus to our exploration, making it both enjoyable and informative. We had a fantastic time sampling delicious foods and learning about these dishes.

We managed to try every single Beijing ‘must eat’ within our time with Miko. He was a fabulously friendly guide who not only opened our eyes to the food but to the culture and history around it. A delicious way to start our stay in Beijing and we highly recommend to all!

Be warned, the quantity of food was really generous so make sure you pace yourself!!! ☺️☺️ This was a great walking food tour in the Hutongs. Our guide Anson was very funny and explained the different food options really well to us and was great in being able to accommodate a couple of vegetarians in our group. As it was our first night in Beijing, he was kind enough to give us a quick lesson on how to use the Metro so we could get back to our hotel in one piece 😊

Please book with Jimmy-he is a great guide! He is funny, helpful, sharing anecdotes and information. Jimmy was also attentive and patient with my family (elderly mother and sister). We started with Peking Duck in a very popular restaurant (reservation required). I drool every time I look at the pictures. Relaxing walk in historic Hutong area and more food snacking along the way. Family was too full from Peking Duck to consume more food. Jimmy was kind to book Uber for ride back to hotel. Next time in Beijing, I will book another tour with Jimmy!

If you enjoy food then this is the tour for you. My guide (Lucy) picked me up in my hotel lobby (only if your hotel is inside the 3rd Ring Rd). We then took the Subway out the the Hutong area of Beijing which gave us some time to talk and get to know each other a little. Lucy inquired about my food preferences, and was pleasantly surprised to find out that I enjoy spicy foods, have no food allergies, and was comfortable with all forms of protein.I was give the opportunity to try a variety of foods and snacks. My favorite was essentially Sichuan Hot Pot for One. The soup dumplings and Peking duck were also pretty amazing though.
