Pere-Lachaise Cemetery
Wander through the serene and historic pathways of Père-Lachaise Cemetery, Paris' largest and most famous burial ground. Established in 1804, this sprawling cemetery is the final resting place for an eclectic mix of notable figures, including Oscar Wilde, Jim Morrison, Edith Piaf, and Frédéric Chopin. Stroll among ornate tombs, monumental sculptures, and ancient trees, each telling its own story. A visit to Père-Lachaise is not just a pilgrimage to pay homage to luminaries, but also a reflective journey through art, history, and memory in the heart of Paris.

I loved both the choice of the tombs commented on and the tone of the narrator, who is very pleasant.

Could not find where to pick up the headphones. Never found Jim Morrison’s grave. It’s free to get in and you can download a map on your phone. There is a list of where the “famous” are buried at the entrance. Cemetery closes at 5 though we were there until 6. Would not pay for this again. I hope you enjoy my $16.00 USD

the visit to pere lachaise was a very interesting experience, I imagined it to be a very dark place, but I found a quiet, illuminated and very beautiful space, with many details to appreciate. Thanks to touringbee for being an excellent guide, she allowed me to know the most emblematic places and gave me very interesting information about the outstanding people of the place.
