Meet your master perfumer and learn the techniques and the secrets of the historical Florentine alchemy tradition. The lesson will take place in a historic, atmospheric workshop where you will learn all the secrets of the trade and where you will have the chance to make your own bespoke personal fragrance.

Meet your master perfumer at Antica Erboristeria San Simone and get ready for a sensory experience! The lesson will take place in a historic, atmospheric workshop dating back to 1700. In centuries of experience this historic lab has mixed the scientific knowledge of medical care together with the empirical knowledge of the healing properties of herbs, flowers and fruits. You will relive the magical atmosphere of alchemists and apothecaries residing in Florence during the Renaissance period, surrounded by unique glassware, ampules and rare essences. Following the historical footprints of Catherine de Medici and René le Florentine, your master perfumer will guide you through the process which will ultimately lead to the creation of your unique personal fragrance. At the end of the workshop you will be rewarded with a 30ml bottle of your own personalized perfume. Each participant will also receive a certificate as a memory of the day. This truly authentic experience is not to be missed.

4.00Great experience! They didnt have the scent that i wanted but after asking they provided it for an upcharge which is totally fine. History of the store was very interesting but i would've wished for a bit more theory on parfume making.

4.00I loved it! The class actually starts at the “ be there” time which is 10 min prior to the listed class time, so plan to get there 15 min early. I was 3 min late and class had started. Elena was part of the staff and charming and helpful….be sure to take time to see the owners collection of perfume!

4.00This experience was good. I added different oils to create my scents. After I chose multiple oils, someone added it all together for my own combination of perfume. It was explained to me clearly. They were professional and kind. I would do it again. I would recommend this to anyone who loves fragrances.

1.00Save your money and go to a perfume store or Sephora. It will be faster and you will have better choices. The “class” was 16 people smelling about 20 vials of scent and picking from the few you like, then waiting an hour for them to go around the groups and have one employee mix them for everyone. Nice idea, poor execution and choices. A very expensive afternoon where three of our three members didn’t like what we got. They try to be friendly and make conversation, but it was just killing time until we could have the “perfume” made. Would have been better off at the airport shops.
