With a relaxed 2pm departure from Melbourne, cross onto Phillip Island at San Remo and stop at the Phillip Island Nature Parks Koala Conservation Reserve. Wander tree-top boardwalks to watch koalas up close in their natural habitat. Take a walk through the woodlands & enjoy the abundant birdlife, wallabies, and echidnas.
Continue onto Seal Rocks and the Nobbies Centre to take a walk along the boardwalk and soak in the stunning views back towards the Mornington Peninsula from Phillip Island’s most western point. Take the scenic cliff drive dirt road for the potential spotting of wallabies and other wildlife in the wild plus take in cliff top photo opportunities.
And then it’s onwards to the main event, the Phillip Island penguin tour. Just after dark every night, the world’s smallest penguins waddle ashore after spending the day fishing out at sea. Be truly captivated as the stars of the show emerge from the surf and pass right before your eyes on their journey back to their burrows.

The bus was hard to identify. Nowhere did it say its size or marking, but when found - everything was nice and smooth. Interesting stop at the dairy farm to see cows milking process and for ice cream tasting. Choice of Koala sanctuary (additional $$) or beach town with great views of the ocean and stone formations. Lots of wallabies, geese, and even few penguins on the way. Penguins Plus option was well worth extra $$ as gives the opportunity to see penguins from a very short distance.

Shano was AWESOME! He was very informative, kind and accommodating to all passengers. The koala conservation is well worth it but the penguin parade was a once in a lifetime experience!!
