A very rewarding tour in a small group where the guide managed to convey both Florence's interesting history and a good selection of the famous paintings. The guide was very knowledgeable and told empathetically. We chose to go through the fashion museum afterwards, which was also very worth seeing.

Tour guide was excellent. Audio equipmemt worked well. Lots of historical details, good stories and our group had many questions all of which she had amazing answers for. Lot of very interesting artwork in the palace. The guide pointed out choice pieces and told stories of the history and significance. Definitely recommed this tour.

Excellent opportunity to see how King's and Queen's lived in the Medici dynasty. We visited twice and also the gardens. Many beautiful parts of this building including this photo of the Medici Chapel

Our docent, Camilla, was so informative! An art restoration artist herself, she shared artistic and historical insights not only of the many works of art in the Palatina Gallery but also of the Medici family! She graciously accepted all questions and answered the questions thoroughly. Camilla warmly welcomed us to the Pitti Palace and was a delightful and thoughtful guide!

Camille was a friendly and knowledgeable guide, passionate about her work and the palace. We thoroughly enjoyed this introduction to one of the most amazing collections of art and furniture in the world. Whilst it covered just the tip of the iceberg as far as all the works in the gallery it was the perfect tour for us beginners as otherwise it would simply have been too overwhelming to take in. The staff were also helpful in assisting us with another problem for which we needed some Italian language skills!! and we are extremely grateful for their assistance with this matter. They were caring and thoughtful and it really made our day when we had this issue resolved! We had plenty of free time after the tour to have a coffee in the cafe and then do a self guided tour of the fashion gallery (well worth a look) and other later paintings in the huge galleries which continue past where this tour takes you. A lovely morning.

The palace of the first family of Rome. It’s part fine art, part soap opera, all the things that make Florence great. So much to see, so little time. A wonderful tour.
