  Our driver 田伟 is amazing! He was early and very experienced and kind. The tour was wonderful but not recommended for the elderly. Driver car is awesome and even prepared snacks and drinks for the family!

  Summer is really nice and his smile is really contagious. He makes sure that I’m safe and comfortable plus with snacks and water offered. It’s a wonderful place very peaceful. Staff are really nice.

  The driver (Gao Dapeng) was amazing, 5/5 with his information, communication, and support. Simatai wall at night via a cable car is breathtaking but take care at night. Gubei water town is beautiful but our advice is to visit earlier in the day as it was deserted at night and very few places were still open.

  Saw in a vlog, that it is possible to visit the Great Wall also in the dark. So, I search how to do that and that Simatai is the most "ancient" part of the Wall. Next was to find a private tour, that suits us timewise as we had limited time in Beijing and wanted to do the Forbidden City in the morning. While searching, I found this offer and it suited us perfectly. Communication was easy, they even looked up my what's app. Pick up was smooth and everything else was also as written in the discription of the tour. We really enjoyed Gubei watertown and the Great Wall. Mr. Sun was really nice and a good driver.

  Great afternoon experience in Gubei Water City and a different experience to visit the Great Wall at night. Our driver, Sun Zhisheng, makes us enjoy the transfer with a professional and charming nature.

  Excellent experience! My driver Zhao was so personable and kind. He got in touch with me early the day before my tour and made me feel well taken care of the whole experience. He was on time, the car was super comfortable and spacious with snacks, water, and phone charging cords. He taught me a lot about the history of the Great Wall during the various dynasties, and made sure to point out various landmarks or noteworthy locations along the way. It took us about 2 hours to arrive through Beijing traffic. He gave me one easy QR code that I could use for the entrance ticket and cable car up and down. The cable car station is at the other end of Gubei city. When we arrived, he personally walked me all the way in and helped assist me with purchasing a 10rmb ticket for a tram through Gubei city that would take me straight to the cable car area, since I wanted to save my energy and time by getting to the cable car station right when they started their night ascents at 6pm. It was so nice of him to make sure I got on the tram. It was not crowded at all at the end of August. The sunset views were gorgeous. Be sure to keep walking down and forward from tower to tower for the views and pictures are different at each tower and between each tower as well. There are workers on the Wall stationed at each tower and it was perfect since they helped me take pictures as a solo traveler. The lights that light up the Wall at night were perfect. It takes about 15-20minutes to walk from the cable car station to the wall. The ascent can be a wee steeper toward the end. Wear good shoes. Gubei town is so romantic and charming. There is plenty of entertainment, restaurants, and there are quite a few hotels in town. My drive home was so pleasant, and Zhao was so sweet and gave me a little souvenir to take home as well.   This trip was beyond our expectations. We were contacted via Weichat by our designated driver after we booked. His name is Zhang Bo and he offered to pick us up where ever we were as long as we were within the 4th ring road area of Beijing. He was early and waited on us, his car was gorgeous, it was spacious, clean and he even went in to the effort of preparing bottles of water and fruits for us. He was so considerate. He purchased the access tickets for us for Simatai Great Wall, he explained what to expect for the trip and we were off. Simatai Great wall and Gubei water town was one of the most beautiful places i've visited in my life. We first arrived at the foot of Simatai, we accessed the gates and would cross through Gubei water town to access the cable carts that brought us to the great wall. Mind you, in Gubei water town we did the gondolier ride through Gubei town. We got up to the top of the wall via cable cart and a 500 meter climb ( steps) and arrived on top of the wall. The views were spectacular. The wall is quite steep. We stayed on the wall for about 1 hour until the lights came on throughout the wall and all over Gubei Water town. It was a scene out of a movie. We eventually came back down and saw the night light drone show. Gubei Water town lid up every where and there were small stalls and drink shops around. There is a huge Starbucks there too. Our driver stayed around to wait for us the entire 4 hours, he then delivered us back to our hotel around 10 pm. This experience was out of this world. The only thing that would have made it even better is if we knew there were a couple of 5 star hotels on site at Gubei Water town. Had we known we would have stayed there over night as the travel from Beijing city to Simatai great wall is about 2 hours. This trip is a must try. Especially if you are planning on visiting in summer. Evening trips are cooler and this particular Great wall access is less crowded compared to the other ones. Highly recommended.

  Watching the sunset from the Great Wall was a very special experience for us. You walk through Gubei Watertown for about half an hour until you get to the Tram to take you up the mountain to the wall. With the help of Google translate, We were able to get to know our driver Dagao Peng and break thru the language barrier  He picked us up from our hotel on time and with a smile.  He purchased our entrance tickets before we started out and when we arrived, he walked us to the entrance. We really enjoyed having him as our driver/guide!!  Very professional, Excellent service! Excellent trip!

  Easy communication in the lead-up (download wechat or have whatsapp), as we wanted to change the date we booked for better weather which they kindly let us do. Our driver (I believe his name was Mr Xue, sorry this was a while ago now!) arrived a few mins early, didn't rush us and was the friendliest most accommodating guy. Bottled water and fresh fruit in a super comfy car. I looked at the amazing views while my mate slept in peace. We connected our music which was fun too :) Easy drive to a quieter spot on the wall (fewer people = better experience, quicker queues and nicer photos!) and it couldn't have been more beautiful. Mr Xue waited for us, helped take photos of us in good spots, and we drove back on time - everything ran to schedule. Flawless and an unforgettable experience!
