Unforgettable Tuscan Day — Villa, Vineyards, and Hilltop Towns

5.00I contacted the tour company about a month before our trip to customize the itinerary, asking to skip Pisa in favor of a villa or wine experience. They recommended Poggio Torselli, and it turned out to be an otherworldly highlight. The villa sits high on a hill surrounded by the classic Tuscan countryside, with sweeping views that reach all the way to Florence and its Duomo. We toured the extensive gardens before heading inside for a wine tasting in the beautifully appointed villa — elegant, historic, and serene. From there, we visited the medieval towns of San Gimignano and Siena, both spectacular. We had plenty of free time to wander the narrow streets, shop, and enjoy a drink in the piazza. Our driver, Donatello, surprised us with two unforgettable bonus stops. The first was Monteriggioni, a perfectly preserved walled village that feels frozen in time. The second came at the very end of the day — a stop at Piazzale Michelangelo, overlooking Florence from across the river. The city stretched out below us in golden light, with the Duomo and Arno framed perfectly. We also enjoyed a private lunch at a secret location, which I can’t give away — but the dessert was an emotional experience in itself. When my mother-in-law stepped onto the terrace and took in the view, she hugged us both and cried. It was one of the most beautiful days of our entire trip — perfectly planned, deeply personal, and truly unforgettable.

5.00This was an excellent experience for my wife and me. Viator subcontracted with Prestige Rent. Their driver, Paolo Nannelli, was extremely knowledgeable about the Tuscany Region and its history. Paolo was an excellent driver and he knew all the cities we visited very well. Paolo was also very nice and very polite. This day trip was a good way to learn about Italy's Tuscany region.

5.00This is absolutely an amazing experience from start to finish. Our guide Paolo was quite delightful and courteous. We covered a lot of territory in one day. The ride/car was very comfortable and the scenery was beautiful. We had lunch at a beautiful winery where we were given a tour of they make their wine. The views from our table were incredible. This day trip is the best highlight of our italian trip. I didn't expect it and I highly recommend it.

5.00This was an awesome experience! By going with a private driver, we had flexibility throughout the day to focus on what was most important to our group. Our driver Donatello was incredible!! He was so friendly, professional, and outgoing! He taught us so much and was so patient with us, especially having a toddler and older adults with us, that sometimes pushed us behind schedule. I would hire Donatello again for any other trip!
