Mutianyu Great Wall

Mutianyu Great Wall is located in Mutianyu Village, Bohai Town, Huairou District, Beijing, China, 70 kilometers away from the city, It's about an hour and half drive to there, Mutianyu Great Wall is one of the best-preserved and most well-known sections of the Great Wall from the Ming Dynasty that still exists. The Mutianyu Great Wall is 5,400 meters long and has 20 watchtowers, The scenery of Mutianyu Great Wall is beautiful, but compare with the Badaling Great Wall is less crowd. After you arrive at Mutianyu Great Wall, you can choose climb up to the great wall or take cable car up and down or take chairlift up and toboggan down for a fun experience. cable car and toboggan ticket is not included, if you need your driver can help you get it, your driver also will explain you how to explore the great wall and where he will wait for you, after you visit, your driver will drive you back to your designated location.

    Overall, I had a very enjoyable & memorable trip to The Great Wall (Mutiyanu). My driver Jason picked me up from my hotel lobby just before 7AM, so it was definitely quite an early start, but highly advisable to avoid the notorious Beijing traffic and larger crowds that can form later on in the day at The Great Wall. Jason guided me right to the entrance / ticket turnstile, which I found very helpful. He also let me know where he would be waiting for me once I had come back down. I decided to take the Chair Lift up and Toboggan down. The Toboggan turned out to be a really fun way to end the day. It reached a nice speed, but nothing too crazy or dangerous. The Great Wall itself was awe inspiring & incredibly impressive - a real bucket list moment. The tour was very well organised and ran according to schedule. Linda (tour operator) was also very helpful from booking to the tour day itself, responding to all of my queries & questions promptly. Thanks for a great day!

    We knew about this amazing opportunity and make our layover in PEK just to be able to do the tour ! Sadly, first leg of our flights was delayed and this made the Great Wall of China tour a sprint - we drove, got up, walked about 50 meters , took ton of pictures and had to go back. Still this was absolutely amazing and I would totally do it again ( with at least 4-5 hrs there to walk and sit at a nervy cafe ). Our driver was amazing and the tour operator was available 24/7, connecting with us well in advance and even helping with pre-booking our cable car tickets ! All in all, I’m already thinking when to return🙏🏽❤️

    Linda (The Organizer) was great at providing the necessary information prior to my arrival! Upon arriving we met up with Davis( Our Driver), he was very friendly, easy to talk to and very timely. Definitely would recommend for anyone looking for a convenient and straightforward layover tour!!

    The driver was on perfect time at the pickup, and he was very patient in waiting for us to be ready for the return journey. He even gave us some explanation on the key points of the section of Great Wall we were visiting! Super recommended, I would book again!

    Pre-trip communication was excellent, Davis arrived right on time, car was impeccable and all tickets were arranged beforehand. Really enjoyed a stress free trip to the Great Wall. Can't recommend this tour highly enough!

    The tour was great. It was exactly what we wanted. The driver was friendly and gave us good directions and gave us time to eat afterward. We might do another trip in August and I would definitely use them again for another layover tour.

    Excellent tour to Mutianyu Great Wall with a very good English speaker driver - he was at our hotel on time, took us to Mutianyu (1h drive) and was very helpful to pick up the tickets as well as helping us to have lunch ! Mutianyu is definitely a must - with so many amazing views ! Last but not least - organization (the day before !) with Linda was very easy and quick. Highly recommended !

    A wonderful, efficient and reliable service. My driver was very attentive and helpful and ensured that I had everything I needed. He was very friendly and approachable and made sure that I knew how to navigate around the wall and get back to the meeting point, as well as making sure I made it into my hotel and got checked in before leaving me at the end of the tour. As a solo female traveller, it was important to have a safe and reliable tour and I was not disappointed at all! Thank you so much for an amazing day!
