Duration of 14 hours (longer as usual). Mecedes miinivan or car drives faster than a bus. You save up around two hours.

07:30 Pick up from Your hotel in Paris (it can be as well Caen, Bayeux, Honfleur) and departure destination Caen by our air conditioned comfortable Mercedes E220 business-class car by 2 people or by Mercedes minivan from 3 participants. It takes about 3 hours (240 km) to reach the Memorial of Caen. One stop at the rest area will be made. This trip is Live guided from 4 participants.
Memorial de Caen
10:30 - 12:00 Visit of The Caen Memorial and Museum, located in the British Sword Beach sector. Caen Museum is the best World War II museum in France. You will get an overview of the Battle of Normandy as well the sense of the personal lives of the people who took part in it. An excellent 19-minute film documents this battle with original historic footage. 12:00 Departure to Arromanches-les-Bains. It takes about 0,5 hour (30 km) on the national roads crossing beautiful countryside and small villages.

5.00We had a spectacular day with David and Vadim. Stay with me while I capture this amazing day in some detail so that you will immediately book with this company! David, our guide, and Vadim, our driver, came to our hotel in advance of our pick up time and were so kind and polite! At 7:30 am, we set off for Caen to begin our tour of the D-Day museums, memorials and sites. The van was spotless and quite comfortable and there were waters waiting for us. The museums we visited were so well done and were rich with history and memorabilia from this important event. The American cemetery left me speechless as did Pont du Hoc. The day moved smoothly and David was very specific at every stop with how much time we had and where to meet. We never felt rushed or confused. David took us to a lovely restaurant with excellent food and very fair prices. While Vadim deftly handled the driving, David shared his incredible breadth of knowledge about not only the D-Day landings but all facets of the war and beyond. It is a long drive to and from Paris but this was an epic day from start to finish and I could not give David and Vadim a higher or more enthusiastic recommendation! Be advised that this tour covers a lot of sites and it is a 14 hour journey but it is so well worth it. This private tour was well worth the cost given the outstanding service that was provided. I look forward to booking with this company in the future.

5.00The tour was great. The driver and English speaking guide were knowledgeable about Paris and Normandy giving us insight on interesting sites along the way. The timing of the tour had us at the right places at the time. While I would have loved to spend all day at some of the sites, it just wasn’t possible given the amount of time we had to drive. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see the highlights in Normandy, but not having the schedule to allow for a slower pace.

5.00What a wonderful tour! We did 3 days with Clewel. 1 day in Paris, 1 day Normandy/Mont St Michel, and the Versailles tour with lunch that also included Giverny. David was super helpful and a wonderful kind tour guide. We had one person with an injury that needed some adjustments and everything was made to facilitate her needs for the tours to the best of ability in France. The drivers were great. The cars clean and had Air conditioner! Private tours are the way to go if you have kids. They even have car seats. 100% recommend.

5.00Mykyta and our driver were amazing. Kept the kids entertained and told us a little of the history of each place we visited. At the American cemetery in Normandy our guide took us around and had us in the perfect spot to watch the flag lowering ceremony at 4pm. Very moving experience. Can not recommend this tour enough.

5.00Just did a small group Normandy D-Day tour and it was incredible. Huge thanks to our guide David, who was an absolute wealth of knowledge—he brought the history to life at every stop with amazing detail and insight. Also, big appreciation to our minivan driver, who got us as close as possible to each site—minimal walking, maximum exploring! Such a moving, informative day. Highly recommend if you’re ever in the area! 🇫🇷🪖👏
