Your driver will pick you up at your hotel in Beijing city center and will drive you to the Mutianyu Great Wall. The ride to Mutianyu section will take about 1.5 hours. Sit back and enjoy the sceneries along the way. Starting the tour around 7am is highly recommended since you will have more time to explore Mutianyu Great Wall when it is not very crowded. Once arrived at Mutianyu Great Wall, your driver will assistance you to purchase your tickets, and tell you where he will be waiting for you, then you will enjoy your own time to explore the Mutianyu Great Wall. Of course, you can add an English speaking tour guide when make booking, who will explain the histories and stories along the way. After your tour, you will meet your driver at the place where you are dropped off. You will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing. Please note this is only a private transfer service, entrance fee, meals and tour guide are not included unless the related options been selected. Your driver speaks basic English only, and if you have any questions on the road, you can use the driver's mobile phone to reach out the local operator.

We got a nice driver named Sun (pronounced Suhn), and a very clean VW sedan. He was right on time and took us straight to the Great Wall. Based on the description it sounded like we had him for a total of 8 hours so we asked him to take us to The Nest afterwards which he was happy to do. Note - Beijing traffic ain't no joke so try to leave the Wall before 2pm. Our driver was very nice, and while I speak very basic Mandarin he had enough English and enough maps to communicate with us. He also takes you to a parking lot where they sell tickets and he waits for you. So there is no time limit for you to spend at the wall. The price is the same at the ticket parking lot as it is at the wall itself. We chose to take the open cable car (freaky!) up and the toboggan down (you can choose to take the cable car down if you want) but the slide is super fun! We chose to do this instead of a group tour because they force you to go to lunch and stop at some shopping sites which we didn't want to do. The group tour cost about $40 USD per person so this one was about $45 more but worth it for us! (Oh you also have to buy the tickets up which is about $25 USD per person, whereas on a group tour it's included)

Our driver/guide was wonderful. He spoke perfect English and was extremely informative - and vital - to a successful Great Wall experience. I highly recommend. We were four women from the states.

Great contact with the travel provider with regards to pick up time and our guide was in reception at the time stated. English wasn't 100 therefore we had to translate through the drivers friend with regards of what to do and what we had to pay for, guide was pleasant but don't think the money was worth what we had, we basically paid for a car and driver to the Great Wall everything else we had to pay for and do ourselves. All you need is clear instructions of what you will be paying for and where to get the tickets which is very easy and you could get a car to drive at a cheaper cost. With that said the Great Wall was an amazing experience.

Pickup was prompt at our hotel in a comfortable bus. The company provided an English-speaking guide for us even though she was not listed on the tour. She purchased tickets on our behalf and ensured that we were taken care of. She did not return with us on the bus, but all was perfection. I would recommend this company and transfer to anyone desiring travel to MuTianYu. It is my favorite part of the wall to visit!

Jack was amazing! Although it should be noted that you still need to pay for your entrance to the wall.. however Jack got us a discount. He waited for us and allowed us to have lunch after the wall also. He was very knowledgeable, welcoming and chatty, which we loved. He even saw that we got our train tickets and he adapted our requests into the days itinerary. Would HIGHLY recommend!
