Louvre by Night Private Tour for 2 started off very stressfully as my husband and I were at the pinned location to meet the guide 45 mins in advance of our start time and still had issues locating our guide. The tour providers office was closed when we tried to call for assistance, and TripAdvisor online support wasn’t responsive. Luckily our guide called directly albeit 20 mins late and we were able to connect and complete our visit. There was another family of 4 at the same meet/greet location supposed to meet a guide from same company having same issue. Each time any of us would click “get directions” to the meeting point, the pin drop would move slightly on the map and wasn’t consistent. Ended up costing us 30+ minutes of our visit time to sort it out, but had the potential to cost us the entire experience as this was booked as a night tour on our last day of vacation in Paris. I would suggest more proactive customer service in terms of confirming meet points for guide as a physical location (left side of arch, etc) versus pin drop coordinates to prevent confusion and stress. Once on the tour our guide provided a very personal and interactive experience covering the highlights of the exhibits and even dipped into a few of the temporary exhibits to highlight points of interest in those as well. Our guide was knowledgeable and polite and adjusted the course of our visit in the museum based on our areas of interest as much as possible and was very accommodating. Per the advertisement for the night tour we had the impression that the museum would be less crowded and you’d have a more relaxed tour of the museum exhibits - that was not the case. While our guide did an amazing job of hitting the highlights in all the various areas, there was still a lot of people in the museum and the tour still felt very fast paced and rushed. Had I known it would still be that crowded we probably would’ve just scheduled standard admission and spent the whole day there versus doing the private tour.

Excellent tour of the highlights of the Louvre in 3 hours. The only thing I would suggest is a better meeting point as we spent about 15 minutes wandering around the Arc de Triomphe carousel trying to find the guide. Otherwise I highly recommend this tour.

We absolutely loved our tour guide. She completely "got it" that we wanted an abridged version so the kids would enjoy it and she did an amazing job. It's makes such a huge difference having a guide.

Our guide took us through the highlights of the Louvre in 2.5 hours. My partner has limited mobility and we were given priority access through the entrances, via the elevators and behind the stanchions in front of the Mona Lisa.

My family and I greatly enjoyed seeing the masterpieces of The Louvre, including the Mona Lisa and Venus De Milo. However, our tour guide, Gilles, clouded the experience by seeming uninterested, unengaged, and ultimately ending our tour an hour before the scheduled end. Upon introduction, we requested to walk slowly and avoid stairs where possible, given one member’s recent injury. He often forgot about this, requiring multiple prompts to use elevators where applicable. Note for groups with disabilities: while there are elevators throughout the museum, they can be far apart making navigation difficult. Gilles ultimately did not lead us through the museum in a manner accessible via elevator. During the tour, Gilles did not seem to have a good sense of what my group was interested in- he would often speak for an extended period about topics or pieces that were not to my family’s taste while providing no additional information for pieces that were of particular interest (such as the Mona Lisa). Gilles also navigated around some areas of interest. We were not brought to the Code of Hammurabi or the Napoleon III apartments. We asked about the Code of Hammurabi, and were told “it’s all the way on the other side”, and our tour then concluded prematurely. Overall, The Lourve is wonderful and impressive, however unfortunately we didn’t get to experience it fully.
