Amazing oasis at the roots of Iceland highlands, with small waterfalls and an old farm. Game of Thrones shooting location. We will walk to the Old farm and into the Gjáin oasis. The walk is around 500 meters each way. Outdoor shoes are recommended when exploring Gjáin oasis.

Haifoss

One of Iceland's highest waterfalls, with an amazing view into the valley of Þjórsárdalur. We will drive up the rocky gravel roads leading to the Háifoss waterfall. After we reach the parking we will walk towards the viewpoint and take in this epic natural beauty.

Wow!! This is a spectacular trip! You see sites in the Highlands that many don’t see. The crowds were minimal and the views breathtaking. A highlight of the vacation and our guide was outstanding!

I take this tour each and every time I visit Iceland without hesitation. I have been three times with Iceland in Motion. No pictures can ever portray the magnitude and majesty that you will experience when you see these natural wonders in person. If you only have the opportunity to take one tour while in Iceland, this is the one. You will not be disappointed!

Small group means faster travel and more time at locations. This was a beautiful tour of several gorgeous waterfalls. Our guide was very pleasant! The lunch stop at the highlands center was also very nice, with a small but good selection of food. Don't skip out on this tour!

We had a great time exploring the highlands. The tour takes you off the beaten path to find some hidden treasures. Our guide (whose name I can’t remember) did an amazing job.

We spent an amazing day in Thor's company. He's a really funny and dedicated guide and he brought us to places not so many day tour operators have in their catalogue. Everything was perfect, what else can I say ? Takk fyrir Thor !

I cannot stress enough how this private tour with Iceland in Motion is a hidden gem and worth every penny spent. Thor and his colleagues provide a personal experience for small parties away from the principal tourist trails with exhilarating views that exceed golden circle highlights. The trip was so spectacular that I have taken it twice, once in 2022 and once this year. If you choose this excursion with Iceland in Motion, I know you will be awestricken by the sights of the high country and the connection to Icelandic history provided by Thor and his guides. After three trips to Iceland and numerous excursions, this is far and away the best of all!

We very much enjoyed the small group and having our guide take us to some really cool places. We even got to taste the vegetation which was cool. Would highly recommend this tour.
