This tour is for 18-to-35 year old backpackers, international students and young travellers looking for an adventure seeing the sights but also meeting other like-minded travellers exploring the world just like them.
On this tour, we drive the road in the opposite direction, starting from the south-west coast and working back, allowing us to avoid the crowds from other tour buses, getting the boring part of the drive out of the way first and saving the best of the Great Ocean Road for last.
A two-day tour means we can take our time along the way, so that you will never feel rushed. The only timeline we have is to ensure we arrive on time at the Twelve Apostles for sunset.

This Great Ocean Road 2-day tour easily ranks among our top 3 Australian experiences! The hostel surpassed expectations with its spotless cleanliness, while our guide Cam was a human dynamo – his encyclopedic knowledge and electric enthusiasm made every rock formation sing. We hit the weather jackpot with 48 hours of sunshine, capturing hundreds of postcard-worthy shots: the spray at Loch Ard Gorge, the molten sunset over London Bridge... each snapshot looks straight out of a romance movie. Missing the dream team already – can't wait to turn these memories into a leather-bound album!

I did a solo trip to Melbourne with my main goal being to explore the Great Ocean Road. From the start, the pickup was smooth and hassle-free (I was picked up at the Immigration Museum), and our group had 13 people including myself. Since the tour wasn’t completely full, there was plenty of room on the bus—perfect for stretching out and enjoying some personal space. Our guide James was fantastic. Beyond just driving and directing us around the stunning viewpoints, he was genuinely fun to chat with and seemed to really vibe with our group, which was mostly made up of people in their mid-20s. He even went out of his way to grab some "emergency" microwave rice for dinner when things didn’t go as planned—above and beyond! The ride both ways felt completely safe and smooth, and I never once felt uncomfortable. Overall, I met some amazing people during this 36-hour adventure and would absolutely recommend it to any solo travelers looking to step out of their comfort zones, connect with nature, and enjoy a well-organized trip from start to finish. I couldn’t have been happier with my Melbourne and Great Ocean Road experience!

I had a great time with Cam as our tour guide! Definitely do the 2 day option if you can, as I felt we had plenty of time and we got to see spots when they weren’t super crowded by the day trippers. The hostel we stayed at was perfect- great dinner and the ciders/ beers were tasty! Cam is very knowledgeable about the Great Ocean Road and its history, and it was super easy to make friends as a solo traveler! He even shared his Google Drive folder with us that included any professional photos we took off his camera throughout the two days which was very generous and allowed us to be in the moment. Definitely book it, you won’t regret it!

Hugh recommendation alert🚨 Best weekend in Australia so far! Amazing trip across the great ocean road and beyond. First, the tour guide Cam made all the difference. He’s the tour guide but also the driver, chef, storyteller and photographer. If he would’ve done more tours we would go no questions asked. Other than that the minibus was clean and comfy such as the hostel/brewery! Saw Kangaroos, Koalas and more Beautiful small towns along the way And unforgettable views A must go And don’t forget to ask for Cam as your tour guide!

I had the most amazing time on this tour, so glad I booked it. James our tour guide was FAB, good sense of humour, took us to all the best places and was just a pleasure to spend 2 days with. I met great people on the tour, saw incredible views, the cutest koalas/kangaroos and the hostel was really nice. I could’ve carried on for days, I couldn’t recommend it more - a must do!!!! If you are choosing between 1 day or 2, do 2 without a doubt - the sunset and seeing the penguins is a MUST SEE! Thanks again James, legend!
