A guided tour through the most iconic Roman monument in the fascinating night atmosphere after the regular opening hours when the crowds are gone.
You will meet your tour Coordinator outside the Colosseum metro station just across the street from the monument. After a brief introduction, our friendly guide will accompany you to the skip-the-line entrance, for fast lane access.
Once inside, begin your tour below ground and explore the Colosseum’s tunnels, chambers and pits. This section of the Colosseum is restricted to the public and only allows a limited number of visitors each day, so enjoy this exclusive chance to see more than most people do.
Admire the lifts that brought to life Rome’s hunting games. Next you will have access to the reconstructed portion of the arena floor to hear the stories of the bloody gladiatorial battles.
You'll stand in the very same spot where the games took place. This is a unique experience reserved to a restricted number of visitors. Don't miss it !

5.00This was an amazing experience and definitely a must do! Skip the crowds and learn history from an actual archeologist! Not to mention no heat and crowds or long lines! Loved it so much more than a day visit many years ago!

3.00The tour itself was nice especially since the entire place was illuminated. For the 4 other tours we attended during our visit in Italy and Germany, this was the least exciting tour guide. Not sure if due to language barrier, she seemed to be knowledgeable enough, but the tour guide is very important to the experience. We just felt like ok walking through ruins, nothing really "came to life" for us. Also we were with a group of 10 and 5 of us got rescheduled for an hour later, so we got split up and even after telling them, this was disregarded. They have it in the fine print that you can get rescheduled, so beware. Instructions on meeting point were not great either, they say in front of the metro, but what they mean is at the entrance of the colosseum on the other side of the street of the metro entrance. No one was at the metro advising of the correct meeting spot.
