The Stirling castle is worth the visit, a lot of history, great information and even better than the Edinburgh caste. The Dunfermline abbey is beautiful, historical and the palace grounds are interesting. The Rosslyn chapel was just okay, can easily give it a miss.

We had a very disappointing experience with this tour by Highland Experience Tours booked through Viator. For the price paid, we expected a knowledgeable and engaging driver who could offer recommendations, guidance, and context about each stop. Instead, Lance, our driver simply dropped us off, told us what time to be back, and drove us to the next location. There was no effort to explain what we could see or do, no tips to make the most of our time, and very poor directions at each stop. This felt more like an expensive shuttle service than a guided tour. We arrived late to Rosslyn Chapel. As a result, we missed the last speaker of the day and only had 45 minutes to view the chapel on our own before it closed at 5pm. The bus itself had several issues. The speakers were not working, which made it impossible to hear the little commentary there was from the back. The air conditioning was also broken, and the bus was uncomfortably hot for the duration of the trip. Overall, the tour did not deliver on the experience we paid for.

The bus was technically unfit: the driver’s mike did not work so his infirmation was audible only to the first 2-3 rows. The aircondition was loud and erratic so it was noisy and hot in the back of the car. The driver did his best but it was not good enough.

Mike our guide was really nice. We enjoyed this tour a lot. Do not skip entering Rosslyn Chapel by any means.

This was a very enjoyable tour. Stephen B is an excellent tour guide. He is knowledgeable, very witty & conscientious. The sites are amazing & a must see.
