  I learned about this tour from The Amazing Tourist website and I really wish we did before we book our pyramids tour because it seems amazing and feeding dogs at these sites is such great idea, we saw many skinny animals in Egypt and we wish we have bought some food with us for them but as long as guides like this wonderful lady Safy are there, I wouldn't worry as much. With all these 5 stars I will definitely book it next time I am in Cairo

  Safy is an exceptional guide, able to share her deep historical and archaeological knowledge through tours that not only explore Egypt’s immense heritage sites but also help visitors connect with the country’s living, contemporary culture. During our visit to the necropolis of Saqqara and the pyramids of Dahshur — the first of three tours we chose to take with her — she guided us with great expertise, offering clear insight into Egypt’s long history and, thanks to her genuine care and sensitivity, tailoring the experience to our curiosity. Away from the main tourist routes, the visit to the Red and Bent Pyramids, which we entered, was for me an experience of profound impact, both historical and spiritual. We also had the pleasure of spending some time in a carpet school, watching how this ancient craft is still passed down and continues to support the local economy. The visit and dinner at a nearby farm gave us our first taste of Egypt’s generous hospitality — something we will never forget. Meeting Safy was truly a stroke of luck, allowing us to explore with more awareness not only the Giza Plateau and the Egyptian Museum, but also the city of Cairo itself.

  

  

  

• Amazing tour with an incredible guide

  This was the best tour we have ever been on. Safy and her driver Mohamed are amazing and friendly people who took care of us, we felt safe with them. Safy’s knowledge of Egyptian history is remarkable and this tour is such a wonderful day going to visit magnificent pyramids and Egyptian artifacts which are not overcrowded with tourists. The lunch we had at the local farm is one of my favourite places and lunches I have ever experienced. Safy is a truely wonderful person who looks after the local cats and dogs which myself and my children enjoyed experiencing with her. I would recommend this tour highly to anyone visiting Egypt. Highlight for everyone was going inside the bent pyramid 80m down to the center. There is nothing to fault on this tour. This was our first time in Giza and was very overwhelming and culture shocked coming from Australia, Safy also organised our pickup and return to the airport with her driver Mohamed who is the most gentle and kind person and we felt safe the entire time we were with them. Thank you so much an incredible experience we will never forget.

  The sites we visited at Dahshur, Saqqara, and Memphis are absolute must sees for anyone visiting Cairo and were much less crowded than I anticipated. Safy was an incredible tour guide and I would 100% recommend her to anyone wanting to visit any of the sites near Cairo. She is extremely knowledgable on Egyptian history, very open to disucssions about the less well understood aspects of early Egyptian civilisation, and even taught us how to read some hieroglyphs. Beyond her skill as a teacher, Safy is just a great human being. It is very clear from watching her interactions with both the humans and stray animals we encountered along the way that she is an incedibly kind person who wants to improve the lives of everyone she meets. If I could plan my trip to Cairo again, I would choose her as a guide for all our day trips.

  I cannot recommend Safy highly enough! We had the privilege of spending four days with her, and she curated an absolutely breathtaking itinerary that exceeded every expectation. Safy’s passion for Egypt—its history, culture, and roots—shines through in everything she shares. A remarkable highlight is her ability to read hieroglyphics, which brought ancient sites to life as she translated inscriptions and explained their meaning in such an engaging way. What touched me most was her kindness and compassion. Each day, she carried food for the stray dogs and cats we encountered, showing the same care for Egypt’s animals as she does for its people and history. By the end of our four days together, I truly felt as though I had gained a dear friend in Cairo. We are already dreaming up our next adventure with her when I return to Egypt. Safy is simply one of a kind, and any traveler would be lucky to explore Egypt with her.

• Amazing Birth of the Pyramids

  Our tour with Safy through Saqqara, Dahshur, and Memphis was very interesting. While the Giza Pyramids are world-famous, this tour dove even deeper into the origins of ancient Egyptian civilization ... and without so many crowds. We began at Saqqara with the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the beginning of Egypt’s pyramid-building. In Saqqara Safy also took us to places like Heb-Sed Court, tombs of high-ranking officials, King Teti’s tomb, and the Serapeum ... each stop, along with Safy’s commentary, added rich context to the Egyptian rituals, power, and scenes of daily life at the time. Safy helped us to understand the stories being told by the hieroglyphics we saw. In Memphis, we saw the colossal statue of Ramses II, and then we finished the day at Dahshur where we saw the in-progress design shift during the building of the Bent Pyramid contrasted against the subsequent, nearby Red Pyramid. The tour was fascinating.

  If you’re lucky enough to book a tour with Safy, prepare yourself for something far beyond a typical sightseeing trip—this was an unforgettable journey into the heart and soul of Egypt. She guided us through Dahshur, Saqqara, and Memphis with the expertise of a seasoned Egyptologist and the warmth of a longtime friend. Her driver Mohamed was also amazingly kind and thoughtful -always there to pick us up in his air conditioned car and make the day as easy as possible. But what made the day truly exceptional were the unexpected, deeply personal touches: a magical lunch in a hidden garden, seated on pillows, enjoying the most authentic Egyptian meal we’ve had; a detour to a tucked-away spice shop that we never would’ve found on our own; and her genuine willingness to help with even the smallest request—like tracking down an ATM when we needed one. Safy is gracious, insightful, and utterly delightful. We didn’t just see Egypt—we felt it.
