This guided evening walking tour takes you through the softly lit Changgyeonggung Palace and serene Jogyesa Temple, where your guide shares stories connecting Korea’s past to modern life. Avoid daytime crowds and enjoy these landmarks illuminated against the night sky.

Continue to Gwangjang Market, Seoul’s iconic food hub, to taste a curated selection of of must-try Korean foods: assorted jeon, kimchi jeon, live octopus, banquet noodles, makgeolli, twisted donuts, dumplings, gimbap, and sundae. All are prepared by local vendors, with vegan-friendly choices for plant-based travelers.

Throughout the tour, enjoy immersive storytelling, vibrant market energy, and centuries-old landmarks — all under the magic of Seoul’s night lights.

This tour operates as scheduled even in case of rain or snow. We will only contact you separately if the weather makes it completely impossible to proceed.

A vegan option is available: if you’d like to change to a vegan meal, please pay $10 USD (14,000 KRW) in cash to the guide before the tour starts. (A separate vegetable bibimbap will be provided for each person.)

In Korea, during the summer months (Jun-Aug), the sun sets later, so between 6:00~8:00PM, it may still be bright, unlike what is shown in some photos.

Daehakno

Daehakro is a major “arts & culture street” of Korea with some 150 theaters clustered in the area. Stretching for about 1.6km from Jongno 5-ga in Jongno-gu to the Hyehwa-dong Rotary, Daehakro was designated a “cultural zone” operated as a “no cars zone” on weekends. You can visit many historically and culturally popular sites such as Marronnier Park and Naksan Park, or see and taste the latest trends at the various eateries and shopping facilities. Walk toward Changgyeonggung Palace while feeling the youthful energy of Daehakro, which is lively even late at night.

MUST do when you first come to Seoul! Enoch was the best tour guide and made my mother and I feel comfortable and welcomed. I learned so much about Korean history, food, and culture. The food tour at the market is like a hidden gem that I wouldn’t have found on my own. There is a decent amount of walking, so dress comfortably, but it’s needed after all the good food we ate!

Was ok…. I was expecting a night tour of the Palace but was afternoon. A lot of walking between sites that were closed. The market experience was good.

This might just be the best tour I’ve been on in South Korea. It was very varied and interesting. I was lucky enough to have a fantastic tour guide, Katie, who was fun and energetic, but very knowledgeable and the stories she told about Changgyeonggung Palace were very interesting. Onto food tastings after the Palace, which ranged from octopus that is still moving, to raw beef, to pancakes with pork and much more at a restaurant, then we tried dumplings and donuts at the market which were fantastic. I had enough food that I didn’t need any more for dinner. The walk through Ikseon-dong was interesting and to Jogyesa Temple was a nice way to end the night. We battled heavy rain the whole night, I got back to the hotel soaked, but I was very happy. I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. A word of warning to those with walking issues….its mostly flat, but there is a lot of walking on this tour, so take that into consideration.
