Hell's Gate National Park
7am - Depart Nairobi and start of drive to Naivasha, brief stop over at the Great rift valley view point. Arrive at the gate of hells gate at around 9:30am. Start of the biking tour at hells gate 8 kilometres to the gorge with animals on the way. 11am - Visit the gorges inside the park. Gorges are small thin depressions of land mass where you can walk on the side. This will take 1 hour. 1pm - Finish the tours and bring the bikes back 8 kilometers to the gate. Notes: 1.Incase you are tired or cannot bike you can tour the park with the vehicle and the driver is happy to stop severally for scenery viewing and taking photos 2.Incase you are tired of biking back from the gorge, we are happy to give you a charge free ride back to the gate upon request
Lake Naivasha
Take an optional 1 hour boat ride in the lake for bird watching and hippo viewing. Here at the lake there is also a restaraunt where you can have lunch. End of activities at around 4 pm and drive back to Nairobi.

5.00Joash is a great driver. He was totallycon time and flexible when we changed our plans. Leike our guide was AMAZING. He knew so much about the geology and animals, birds and culture. He was warm and personable as well.

5.00The tour was really well organized and a very nice day. Timely pick up, excellent and very responsible drive and nice conversation with Joash, that guided me very effectively through the entire day, with everything running timely as a Swiss clock. Everything worked well and was nicely organized, no waiting times at all between the different steps. The bicycle ride into Hell´s Gate is very nice, with the feeling of being in open air in a Nationa Park, which is so unusual, and watching impalas, zebras, wasthogs and even jiraffes as you ride by. A very educative guiding and conversatio with Leki, whom brings the understanding of the park, the Masai culture and history, and some secret spots in the gorge worth visiting - I really commend the way in which he conducted the guiding. Finally, the boat to Crescent island was also nice and we viewed the hipos in the lake, and may others on the island - would have loved to walk on the island too. I highly recoment this tour and am very grateful to Joash for the excellent and super safe driving, kindness and fantastic organizing of every step.

5.00We had a wonderful time with Joash and Laky. They were very knowledgeable and flexible with the planning to accomodate our schedules. It was very easy to coordinate and we saw a lot of nature and animals!! Biking is a great way to see Hells Gate - I'd highly recommend.

5.00Great way to start our trip. Joash was prompt, professional and friendly. Clean car. He talked about the different areas we drive through. Good at stopping for photos. Lunch was very good and was budget friendly. The boat trip gave us the opportunity to see birds and animals. The time spent in Hells Gate was fun. We enjoyed hiking and seeing what was there. Our Masi guide provided stories along the way. Joash made our first day in Nairobi fun. Would definitely recommend.

1.00⸻ We booked the Small Group Budget Tour to Hell’s Gate National Park and Lake Naivasha because we were excited to experience the park by bike, as described in the tour details. We were a group of five, and while two of us wanted to cycle as planned, the other three preferred to do the bike portion from the car. The first part of the trip was wonderful — cycling through the park surrounded by zebras and giraffes, and walking through the beautiful gorge. However, when it was time to cycle back, our guide encouraged us to get into the car “because it might rain” and that we needed to go to the boat. The sky was completely clear, and it wasn’t clear why there was such a rush to reach the next activity, especially since the boat ride was optional and not the main focus of the tour. Later, during lunch, the driver mentioned that he had advised us not to cycle back because of the other three members of the group who didn’t want to ride. This was very disappointing, as it meant our experience was shortened to accommodate others rather than following the advertised itinerary. To make matters worse, when we arrived at the lake, there was so much vegetation that we couldn’t even start the boat ride there — we had to drive to another location instead. This made the earlier decision to end the cycling portion even more unnecessary. In the end, we spent half of the tour sitting in the back of a car with dark windows, unable to take photos or enjoy the scenery. Considering that we paid £185 for this experience, it didn’t feel fair or representative of what was advertised. We would appreciate if the company could review this situation, as the tour did not deliver the full cycling experience we were promised.

4.00Loved the bike, the hike and the boat tour. All the tour guides were excellent. We unfortunately hit some terrible traffic on the way out of Nairobi which delayed us more than an hour, but we managed to get in most of the day's events. We did have to forgo riding back from the canyon, which was disappointing to some in our group, but that bike ride would have been much more challenging than the bike out re being uphill. I guess the one negative was the poor quality of the bikes, but that's generally to be expected for rentals.

5.00You will have an amazing time! We saw zebras, giraffes, impala, buffalo, and MANY more animals up close. The views are breathtaking. The landscape is incredible. Our guide and driver was Patrick. He has great personality and wonderful sense of humor. Inside Hell's Gate, Reagan was our guide. He is extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer every question we had. Book the tour with the entry fee included since it the actual posted fee to enter the park. Do the boat ride as well because it gives you another view of Kenya's beauty. Oh, and you'll want to see the hippos!
