Duration: the hours of duration are approximate 10 hours. The Tour is subject to local traffic, visit schedules, etc
You can be picked up from a private address other than hotels in Porto & Vila Nova de Gaia downtown area/city center only (Matosinhos Cities are outside pick-up limits)
Our pick-ups happen between 8am & 8:45am (the time window for all client pick-ups), so we advise to always aim to be ready at 8am in advance.
Wineries or order of wineries visited may differ depending on their availability.
Visits at the wineries and river cruises are not fully private and open to external participants.

5.00This tour was truly one of the highlights of my trip to Portugal. The Douro Valley is absolutely stunning, but what made the experience exceptional was our guide, Alex. He was knowledgeable, funny, and incredibly engaging from start to finish. You could tell he genuinely loves what he does, and his enthusiasm made the entire day even more enjoyable. Alex shared so much insight about the region, the wines, and Portuguese culture, all while keeping the group entertained and comfortable. The winery visits were well-chosen, the lunch was delicious, and the river cruise was the perfect relaxing break in between. If you’re visiting Porto, this excursion is a must. And if you’re lucky enough to get Alex as your guide, you’re guaranteed an amazing day! Highly recommend.

5.00We enjoyed a great tour of the Douro Valley. Nuno was a great friendly and informative guide. We had wine samples at 2 unique wineries. The wine and food was delicious. The tour latest 8 hours and was an over wonderful experience.

5.00This was a ground small group trip! Our host was hilarious and making some good jokes. Views and wineries and boat ride all top notch Worth it! I did the larger group one too and loved it the same. They are both different but of high value. I liked the food more for the larger group one. All you could drink wine

5.00The experience was amazing. Fred was our tour guide, and he adapted the information to our interests and was very understanding with the group’s timing. We visited a small town near Porto where we tried traditional pastries. After that, we visited two amazing wineries. Overall, this tour is a must on your next visit to Portugal. I will recommend going to "Santa Júlia" winery, they offered the best view and Porto!

5.00We had a great day visiting the Douro Valley. The tour was awesome, we tried some delicious wines, and had a lovely lunch. Our tour guide Nuno was great, ensuring everyone had a great day. We didn’t feel rushed, it was a very nice, relaxed, informative tour. Would definitely recommend !!

5.00This was a wonderful tour, our guide Jorge was amazing. He was able to answer all of our questions and was a very safe driver. Getting to do the river cruise and going to such intimate wine tasting experiences was such a highlight of our trip. If I come back to Porto, I will absolutely do this trip again.

5.00Wow, what an amazing full day tour with our excellent guide Miguel. Miguel was very nice and was very passionate and knowledgeable about Portugal, Porto and the Douro Valley. In the morning we stopped in a little town called Amarante for a quick break and then headed to a winery for a very informative tour and wine tasting followed by an excellent lunch . We then went on a very nice boat ride on the Douro River and then drove to another winery for more wonderful wine tasting and a tour. This day-long tour far exceeded our expectations.

5.00I had a really lovely time on this tour. The small group was perfect, and the tour felt generally relaxed and personal rather than rushed or crowded. The vineyards and views were absolutely beautiful, lunch was delicious with thoughtful wine pairings, and the pace of the day was really pleasant. Our guide, Davide, was friendly and professional and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the day. The only small thing that surprised me was that I had expected a more formal second wine tasting, rather than lunch with wine and then an informal visit to the shop. But overall it was a great day, would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Porto to visit the Douro valley which you're unlikely to see much of without a rental car.

5.00Slimmy was the absolute best tour guide! Very knowledgeable, attentive and entertaining!!! Felt very safe with Bino behind the wheel! Lots of steep, winding roads which he managed with ease.
