The city of Tangier was breathtaking and met our expectations. The main issue was the trip to and from Seville. Horrible communication! Although we were early at the pick up spot, the shuttle was 15 to 20 minutes late. A rep took us to the shuttle and told us to get aboard. A driver appeared, never introduced himself, gave no instructions as to what to expect during the trip and no bathroom break. We arrive at the port and another man meets us with broken English. He ushers us into the port building gives us documents and tells us to get in line. We all thought he would be our guide. There was no communication that we would meet our guide in Tangier or where to go once we arrived in Tangier. We get on the ferry and again no instructions what to do when we arrive, so we follow the crowd. Once we get to the main floor of the port in Tangier, a man asks if we were with a group and points for us to go outside. Only then do we understand that our group is larger than 8 people when we see other folk with their badge on. We finally meet our guide who was wonderful, energetic spoke at least 4 languages and took us on a fabulous tour of the city. Coming back to Seville our driver only stops and allows a bathroom break because he dropped off two passengers at a hotel. The bus was filled with guests over 65. You must budget time for a bathroom break to and from the port for elderly passengers like myself. I am 69. Thanks. Camille Stearns Miller

Spanish drivers are hard at work, and Moroccan guides could do better, with the entire trip taking 17 hours. TripAdvisor had poor communication with the provider and the trip start time had been changed to 7:15 but we kept being told it was 8:30, and thankfully we knew when we went on another tour the day before!

We booked a 2 day Seville to Tangiers trip. Naturanda did not tell us that the three of us were the only ones booked for this trip which was supposed to to begin with a tour on the first day and a second day of free to explore on our own. We were put on a bus with a tour to Gibraltar and then told they were dropping us at a gas station where a taxi would take us to the ferry where someone would meet us with our ferry tickets…Sketchy but had no choice at this point. No one met us for 30 minutes and then did with tickets to a ferry leaving in 2 hours. Told to meet a guy with a red fez on the other side. When we finally arrived in Morocco at 4pm (left Seville at 9am) no guy with red fez waiting for us. Just some other person who said they’d call our guide who would pick us up to take us to the airport. He finally came and drove us to an area that we did not anticipate staying at (a cross between Atlantic City and midtown nyc in the 80’s). Guide told us not to wander far and not to take our phones, passport or money if we left the hotel (which btw we entered through a metal detector). Said he’d pick us up at 11am for our tour. Can’t make this up. There was a family from Peru who were there, also going through a similar situation. After a very stressful evening trapped in an almost empty hotel the next day was better. Got the tour we were promised (after we went back to the Ferry to meet the 12 ferry with the group who had signed up for the day tour). We lost a day of our vacation and were put in a very vulnerable situation. I’ve reached out to the company and they have ignored my outreach. I must give thanks to the tour guides Juan and Rashit for trying their best in what was a most unfortunate situation.

I'm glad we did this tour. Really a jammed packed day but worth seeing everything we could in 1 day. Pia the tour guide was fantastic, she s knowledgeable and made sure noone got lost when we were in the market areas. Hercules cave was not the site we were exoecting to see but still a fantastic day.

The guide on the Spain side was great but once we got off the ferry it was cruise line chaos with a new guide on the Moroccan side. I will say he did well with both Spanish and English in one tour. Boarded a bus and brought around the old city.stopping at Hercules Cave (ridiculous tourist trap) no explanation from our Moroccan guide, stopped to see the camels, and then lunch and shopping in the old city. Lunch was family style and the food was not bad but again a pretty manic meal with up charges for anything to drink. Then the guide literally just brought us around to places that were designed to sell us things with little true historical significance. The city itself was crazy with vendors on the streets trying to sell things and at the end on the way back to the bus young children as well selling packages of tissues. I think for the price when you consider paying bus drivers and guides it is not over priced but overall this was a one and done for Tangier. Just too manic a visit for us.

Make sure you take cash. Our guide took us to a bunch of places where we got a sales pitch. The lunch was a let down. Not enough food and they rip you off for average drinks they keep bring to your table.

Great day trip to see Tangier. The guides were great, it is a lot to fit into one day with travel and customs. So be well rested the day before your trip. Special shout out to Pia our travel guide and companion, she made the trip absolutely enjoyable.

What to expect: We always felt safe: Tour guides from Spain Laura & Tangier are w/ you the whole time. Except the 30mins of free time in the market. There will be people approaching you all the time to buy stuff throughout. Always say No 1st & walk away as a bargaining tactic. Euros are accepted. Expect a long day: You might get back to your hotel late based on ferry being late ( they did customs to Tangier on ferry) & or traffic. We arrived back at hotel past midnight. Bring snacks & drinks. There was a charging port on the Mercedes bus to & from Tarifa. Places to see: Some of the stops seemed like tourist traps. However, chalk it up as part of the experience. Camel rides, Hercules cave (Don’t pet the Monkey! I’m still not sure why? he was cute), division of the Atlantic & Mediterranean Sea, a spice & linen merchant. Best part of the trip: The lunch & music was amazing. Food & freshly squeezed fruit juices hit the spot. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to go & feel safe

Our guide Maiden was not a guide at all, more of a babysitter. He sat at the front of the shuttle for the 2+ hours it took to drive to Tarifa saying nothing! The road was so bumpy it registered over 2000 steps on my watch each way! Maiden gave us our tickets and told us to go through security... but no other instructions from that point! Once in Morocco we were joined by a much bigger group. most of them did not speak English despite all of our group booking an English-speaking tour. Rashid was lovely but was clearly getting a cut from all the hawkers who incessantly appeared everywhere we went. The lunch was average and a scam. Food was free, drinks were not. The band asked for money, so too did the waiter, then the photographer who had followed us for the last hour presented photos we had not asked for and wanted money! The textile shop was the most professional visit we had. Camels were a waste of time, just a ride in a circle by the road. The cave too was filled with people trying to get money from you. Overall, not a good experience of Morocco, it just felt fake and like we were seen as open wallets... no real history or culture to be seen here.

The tour, once in Tangier was fine. The roads from Seville were terrible, made me sick. Also we weren’t told where to find our tour guide…just followed the people off the ferry.
