Water park on the river great fun a must if you're in the area. Nice little cafe and plenty of picnic areas Kids love it as much as adults its pure wild fun.
Great facility to have for Tauranga residents and tourists alike 👌

It was mostly a wonderful experience with so much choice for our nine-year-olds. The small water slide near the burger bar needs some polystyrene perhaps on the wooden rails As a small boy flipped over on the way down and hit his head. No one was monitoring the slide as three young people were standing next to the warm pool. I went up and got someone who arranged for an ice pack for the side of his head. About an hour and a half later he came back and I asked him how his head was and he said he was a bit dizzy – to me that could indicate concussion. There needs to be a softer material covering the wood. There was a huge crowd being school holidays and there was no toilet paper in the ladies toilet – perhaps this needs to be on the roster every hour to be checked. The young guy looking after the kayak area was attentive but maybe needed to be rotated to another activity as he was there for hours – I felt sorry for him 🤩 Apart from those incidents, it was a super day for the children 💯👍 Cheers, Erica

The kids and I had an absolute blast! Such a neat place that has something for all ages. I have been going since I was very young, now I’m taking my children and it’s just as neat as it’s always been! An absolute must do!

Epic day out with a group of mates. The staff were really friendly and helpful - keeping us safe when we pushed the boundaries a bit! (thanks team!) Loved all the activities.

Kids loved it, their old enough team was really helpful and friendly. Will definitely be making a return trip at some point in the future.

Waimarino is an absolute must-do when you’re in Aotearoa. The park is an incredible spot for tamariki — and the big kids in all of us — with activities that appeal to everyone. The team who run it are outstanding: passionate about what they do, full of good humour, and always accommodating.

I hadn't been to Waimarino (as an active participant) since I was a kid but what an incredible place it has become. I took my kids there for my daughter's birthday and we all had a ball! My daughter's favourite was the Tarzan and Jane swing, my son loved the slide and the blob (my 100kgs vs his 40kgs gave him a massive boost) and I enjoyed hauling myself up and down everything even if the body's feeling it today. We often complain there is nothing to do in Tauranga, but I feel like this is one of those experiences locals often foget about. I definitely won't leave it 30 years until the next time. Special mention to Jack and Eben who were awesome "lifeguards"!!!

Fantastic, well run place, with safety in mind. Relaxing for parents and grandparents as well as children. Our south island teenaged grandchildren rated it the best activity over 3 weeks and we have been to Hobbiton, Waitomo Caves, Sky Tower, Kayaking....... Food like chips etc available, drinks, including lattes. Some seating available but handy to take your own chairs and rugs so that you can sit anywhere. Lots for the kids to do here and tire themselves out!!!! We came last year as well. Wish there were more in NZ like this.

I loved it so much and so did all my friends, there is so much to do displaying variation. Our favourite parts were definitely the blob, the trampoline on water alongside kayaking, paddle boarding, the waterslide and the swing. So pretty much everything. Another benefit we loved was how much seating there was and so when we wanted to take a break there were tables available. One other perk we really liked was the hot pool , we all hoped in it when we were done because the day we went on was a bit gloomy and cold. it’s in the perfect spot and how there aren’t any around like it, meaning many people want to come and enjoy it, especially when it’s summer.
