I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was good fun and the actors were brilliant. I think it might have been more interesting to have fallowed 1 story from 1 room to the next rather than a different story in every room but overall it’s definitely a worthwhile experience.

Absolutely amazing, absolutely loved it! Would have done it again immediately after to be honest. I jumped and my eyes were watering with laughter. The actors really made me feel included even though I went on my own. My favourite was the cannibal actor. Although he did say I was his favourite so that may be bias

Absolutely loved our experience, we were a bit apprehensive for this tour, but it was very comedic and fun, the touring staff were funny, and the information given was extremely factual but given in a funny way. Came out laughing 😃

I'd say for tourists in Edinburgh this place should be a must see, all of the performers put on a spirited and committed show while still being funny and entertaining. All were great but for me the cannibal cave was the star, he managed to terrify my mother for which I doff my cap 🤣

we were wrongly treated yesterday by a member of staff while we visited Edinburgh dungeon with my family . My daughter arranged and paid for this day for my husbands 50th birthday celebrations 6 tickets in total . We travelled up by train from the Scottish borders and headed straight to the venue we were all in good spirits and looking forward to our day ahead, in the court room the lady who was picked was asked what she was doing the previous night she answered having sex with her husband considering there was young children in the group i might have chosen to say something else but it was taken in good humour. My husband got picked in the next room( Torture chamber)He had to sit on the chair we were asked what the tool would be used for ,someone guessed right to cut off tongue and my husband had to stick his tongue out everyone laughed then the girl had a hook and told us it was used to hang people from there necks or from a orrifice she asked my husband to stand up which he did and he jokingly bent over we all giggled and he was asked to go back to family then she left the room someone came in and asked my husband to follow her he was then thrown out and told that they were a zero tolerance company . I think my husband got more laughs than her think that was the problem ! So if you get picked please do not show any humour! He was shocked so didnt make a scene no one let us know what had happened and we actually thought it was maybe part of the show but as time passed we kept looking at each other wondering what was going on. My daughter was very upset on leaving we couldn’t get our photos as my husband had ticket but our whole experience had been ruined . I asked to see the manager and explained what had happened someone from another party also told her that nothing happened to deserve that outcome and i think everyone had been surprised by what happened. I realise that staff health and wellbeing is important but so is customers and we felt how we were treated was unfair and unnecessary. The manager Kay told us we would be fully refunded. Which we did ! Dont waste your money! Disgraceful

The whole experience was amazing. All actors were amazingly funny. We learned a little bit about Edinburgs history and legends in the best way possible. A bit scary but mostly funny and entertaining. We were also included in the play, we weren't just standing there. My fiancee was trialed as a town looney and I was "tortured" in prison. The actors never went out of character. I just love what they were doing and how they managed to move in the dark and go to perfect spots. The best was the judge and the prison scene, Marry Shelly was also in the top selection. I am really glad that I walked by the Dungeons one day and booked a ticket. For me it was the most entertaining experience in Edinburgh. I would recoment it to anyone who likes to be scared a little, but mostly be entertained, because they never touch you. That makes you feel safe, so you can fully enjoy the experience. 20 out of 10 for me :)
