Zona Arqueologica de Monte Alban
Only 20 minutes from the city will be the maximum archaeological zone that Oaxaca has, guided tour within the zone. Monte Alban is the maximum Zapotec capital, it is spectacular and we are going to give you every historical detail of the place.
Teotitlan del Valle
The town of Teotitlán del Valle is located 30 kilometers from the city of Oaxaca and its meaning is "place of the gods", in the Nahuatl league. It is famous thanks to the quality and beauty of its wool textile products: rugs, jackets, bags, sarapes, tapestries, "corridors", carpeting, curtains and dresses, made on large wooden looms and decorated with natural dyes, whose designs go from the traditional Zapotec and Mixtec frets and griffins, to reproductions of contemporary painters. The elaboration of its textile is 100% handmade from the washing of the wool obtained from the sheep in the river, the carding of the wool, the elaboration of the thread through the spinning wheel, the use of natural dyes based on insects and variety of plants, until completion on their pedal looms.

5.00We had a fantastic day exploring the various places around Oaxaca, complementing perfectly our days in the city and fitting in just enough for one day, with not too much time on the road, a bit of walking (for all levels) and lots of interesting insights. We lucked out with Daniel who was not only extremely knowledgeable and a smooth driver but a wonderful companion for the whole day. Our highlight was probably Monte Alban because this was where his impact was most felt while he showed us around and explained everything so well. Highly recommended tour!

He was very knowledgeable about all sites and even more important he was a super nice guy!! We had a great day with him and would recommend Ismael to everyone :)

5.00This was a wonderful tour of Oaxaca and cultural sites. Our guide Yareth was awesome and really educated us about the history of Oaxaca and each place we went. The van was nice, spacious and clean. The sites we visited were all interesting and many were beautiful (ie: great photos!) Would highly suggest this!
It was informative, we saw so much and had a great time!

5.00Highly recommend. Ivan was a wonderful host that was incredibly helpful with our two children (1 and 3). He was engaging, knowledgable, and flexible. Given the overall price, I could not recommend the private tour enough as it truly allows you to enjoy the overall experience in a ways that is completely customized to your own tastes.
